okay so me and my buddies want to go to other bowling allies, however the wait was 1-2 hours, so we settled for bowler city. We get there and everything is just very okay, nothing special. Then out of no where, this pink pin comes into our lane. My friend hits a strike with the pink pin being the first pin. Literally after that this lady comes up and tells us if we get a strike with the pink pin in front, we get a free game card. Me and my friend explains to her that we just hit a strike with the pink pin in front, and oh the attitude began. She threatened to kick us out, told us to leave, and drop the attitude. We were simply asking how she could watch all 50 lanes! Before that, my friend who brought his bowling shoes was told by her that those are not bowling shoes, and was only "messing around" with him. After the argument, this lady walks around with a gigantic box of Chinese food and is just walking around and eating it, very professional. Lastly, I went to use the restroom, and in the last stall, someone actually pooped on the wall, and the top of the bathroom. It smelt like hot garbage, and was everywhere. I was so disgusted, and while bowling I got the pleasure of smelling it as well. Overall, terrible experience, never go there. Avoid at...

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. This place is the worst. The staff are rude and disgusting. I've never seen any bowling ally that requires 8 and younger for bumpers. A staff member told me if we brake them, they have to pay $1000, wow, they must have really cheap bumpers.. My cousin is 9 and she is not really skilled at bowling, they said no to her and assumed she was older, that was completely rude. Plus on Saturdays they charge double for bowling. We asked for a refund and they only gave us only $6 back out of the $80 we payed and this was only for taking out my cousin. We also paid for two games and they canceled the second one. I then went to the arcade to play games. I put $10 worth of coins. The machines took in two of my coins every time and didn't count it as credit. I then went to the front desk to get a refund or for the staff to fix the machine. Guess what their answer was? "WE DON'T OWN THE MACHINES, CALL THE NUMBER ON THE MACHINES..." What is that response!! In the end I wasted $4 on coins and got no refund. This was absolutely the most disgusting experience, not only for me, but for my friends, family, and my cousins. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE AND I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. TOTAL...

Been going here for decades. Fond memories of going here for school field trips and birthday parties when I was younger and more recently as an adult bowling for fun.

50 nice lanes, modern screens and scoring. Great prices, Friendly employees. Bowling leagues. Mini bar, pro shop, mini arcade with a half dozen arcade games, snack bar with lots of good food for lunch or dinner and lots of snacks in between. Also great prices at the snack bar.

Kid friendly too with gutter guards, plastic dinosaur ball launchers and some super light balls for kids to pick from. Also great birthday party packages that include bowling, pizza and a private party room.

Lots of parking and free parking. I realize that Hackensack is attempting to modernize itself by making expensive luxury apartment buildings all over the place. I really hope that the owners of Bowler City realize that the loyal customer base who have been going here for decades and continue to patronize your awesome Bowling Alley are mostly regular folks who do not have millions of dollars in the bank and therefore I hope the owners of this place keep the prices where they are and remain affordable to support these super...

This place is definitely aging and showing it. The ceiling is the biggest issue there. The vents have dirt on and around them. It isn't just retro. It is neglect. The lanes looked good and functioned properly from what I could tell. The food stand was not open when we arrived at 12:30pm. Around 1pm, the lights came on, but no one came to the front, so it still looked closed. I wouldn't come back. Too expensive for everything to look like it does. Plenty of parking out front during the day, though.

Clean. Spacious, and overall a fun experience. Games are $7 per person or go by the hour and a half. Suits a larger group. For sure I would go back. It’s going to be a permanent spot for leisure. Has many varieties of bowling ball weights to choose from. I think during the week they get bookings so best to call in advance and book a time if they have available. I called just to ensure I don’t have to wait before pulling up.
