I see a lot of bad reviews, so perhaps things have changed since I last did business there, but my personal experience was not bad. I had a financial emergency, and needed a quick loan. I had never pawned anything in my life up until that point, and getting a loan through a pawn shop was the last thing I wanted to do, because I have heard horror stories about pawn loans, and how they can be sneaky and conniving. I hadn't heard those things about this particular pawn shop, but just pawn shops in general. Unfortunately at that time, I was in a situation in which I really had no other choice. I brought in some items, and they asked me how much I needed. I told them the amount I needed, and there were no questions asked. I was given the exact amount I asked for. They told me exactly what I needed to do to ensure my items stayed in pawn. I faithfully paid the minimum monthly balance (to the best of my recollection, it was on a monthly basis) until I got back on my feet and was able to pay the entire loan off. I walked in with the money and my pawn ticket, and told them I was ready to repay the loan in full, and get my items back. Again, no questions asked. No games, no excuses. My property was returned, and it was in the exact same condition it was in when I left it there. I had no problems at all with the employees or the services. I hope I am never in such a situation again, but God forbid, if I do have another emergency and no other alternatives, I would do business with them again. They were fair and...

I’ve spent thousands of dollars here and was a regular for years until today. Went in today to trade an Sig P365 AXG Legion (That I got from sig directly using employee discount) and a rifle. When the employee searched the Sig up to see what he could give for it, he was searching up the wrong firearm. This was no big deal, as it is hard to keep up with every model of firearm on the market. After telling the employee the exact model of the firearm he went on to tell me that the 365 AXG Legion don’t exist, then kept to trying to prove me wrong. I told them I’m not interested in trading the sig anymore since they didn’t have any idea about it. Porters is a great local establishment. The associates there are more than friendly and was willing to take a chance to helped me in my time of urgency for cash. There straight forward and honest with you. I needed cash for a unfortunately event in the family and worked with me to get as close to the price I needed when pawning an item was more focused on trying to help the locals of there community. Unlike castle who i have dealt with for years and thought for once they would be willing to help me and give me a break.
