Capital Ice Cream — Restaurant in Hartford

This is hands down my favorite place on it I know I know there's some big words for a little ice cream shop but there is so much more than that from the very first time I stepped foot into this establishment I was treated as if I've known them for my entire life the flavor options are endless they make the cones fresh in store the owner work side by side with no one her son but the other employees the sparkling personalities are almost as good as the ice cream itself I absolutely love this place I've had the pleasure of moving just a few doors down and when I tell you I go here almost every single day that is no exaggeration. From soft serve to Sundays to milkshakes and so much more this place really has it all not just that but if you take it time to look at the decor which I strongly recommend you do there's all types of little fun facts about Connecticut along with places to visit sure can I go somewhere else for my dessert yeah but the experience and the dessert could never measure up so what's the point! I could go on and on but I'll leave it at this the owner is amazing the employees are amazing the ice cream is amazing the variety is endless the toppings our glorious I wish I could give 5,000 Stars I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!! What a cute ice cream shop located in Hartford CT. Various unique flavors along with the classics... I followed them on instagram, I'm a sucker for local owned businesses. And this one happens to be woman owned!!!! The shop is nicely decorated with bright colors and ice cream themed. The staff is so friendly. Street parking is available. But in walking distance from parking garage and food options. And if you like to walk your calories off you can always walk to Bushnell Park after. I was there for yelp elite event called scoops and shades. I ordered a 3 scoop on a cone. I ordered. Strawberry lemonade, birthday cake and green cookie dough... the one that I was wondering what it would taste like and if I would like it turned out to be my favorite which was strawberry lemonade. I’ve wanted to try for the longest but had the pleasure at the Hartford festival. It cost me $8 but it was for charity. It wasn’t too sweet, too icy, or too creamy. The right portion of cream and ice. I had strawberry cheese cake and rum and raisin. I preferred the rum and raisin. It reminded me of the Jamaicans Devon House rum and raisin. I was happy to be transported via dessert. The strawberry cheese cake had a nice flavor but the texture changed. Not sure if it had graham cracker or sugar not even blended or strawberries chunked. Either way it saved the day as the festival was rather boring 🥱 The only feedback I had is it was weird to see the person use the same gloves to collect the ticket to scoop the icecream.
