I am very disappointed in the unprofessionalism of this business. My friend and I were excited to finally attend a candle making session with penthouse pour. It was her birthday celebration and we drove 40 minutes for the experience just to arrive and the business was closed. We received no notification of the event being cancelled and was unable to reach the owner. She said she emailed everyone that the event was canceled but I received no such email and also received no response to the 2 emails I sent to receive a refund. My friend and I reached out on ig requesting a refund as we were unable to reach her through her other contact methods. She has been very slow to respond and lacking urgency to rectify the issue. She finally responded asking to make it up to us but at this point we just wanted a refund because we wasted our time driving 40 minutes there and back on the night of her birthday celebration. I have yet to receive my refund and she has been ignoring my messages on ig but continues to post as I am asking for a confirmation once my refund is issue and inquiring about when I should expect to receive it. We were so excited after reading the reviews and seeing others experience on social media. It is very sad that we did not get to experience that or simply have the issue rectified...

I’ve been to Penthouse Pour three times now, and each visit has been an incredible experience! From the moment you walk in, the cleanliness and organization of the space make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is so inviting, and it’s clear that the team takes pride in creating an amazing environment for everyone who walks through their doors.

The staff is always super friendly and helpful, and Mel, the owner, is absolutely wonderful! She has such a warm and welcoming energy, and you can tell she genuinely loves what she does. Every time I visit, they are hosting unique events, which keeps the experience fresh and exciting. It’s never the same thing twice!

I used to buy candles from stores, but after learning about the toxins in many commercial candles, I knew I had to switch. Now, I only make my own curated, safe scents at Penthouse Pour. It’s such a rewarding experience to craft candles that I know are safe, and I get to customize them to my exact preferences. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever go back to store-bought candles again!

My experience at Penthouse Pour was absolutely terrible. I was very excited to book a candle making session with my best friend two weeks in advance prior to our session. I booked it for a Saturday @ noon. A couple hours before the session (at 9:30 am) I received an email that my session has been cancelled and after calling to know the reason why, it was due to “a party booked it the same time as us.” I was very confused and upset bc Why am I just getting notified HOURS before my session??? It was completely unfair and unprofessional. I am not from Hartford, CT. I am about 40 mins to an hour away so this inconvenience was a set back. After giving them a phone call and voicing my frustration, they told me that I can still come in. Upon arriving, I was late but only bc of the inconvenience of the scheduling. When I was parking my car, the staff at penthouse pour texted me a message insinuating that this entire situation is my fault and that they are starting the class.
