Market Basket — Attraction in Haverhill

I’m sure the right people already know this, but Kirk is probably your most valuable employee. I have been shopping at this location for 24 years, since I was a kid, and I’ve encountered the good, the bad and the ugly from employees in that store. A smiling face is already going above and beyond today’s expectations from customer service associates but Kirk even went above and beyond THAT. All my groceries were organized better than I would have done myself and he didn't give me a crazy look when I said I didn’t need bags lol. Thank you Kirk for turning my day around because I had a garbage staff meeting this morning and my day was otherwise ruined. My mother in law will probably shop here instead of Danvers where they destroy her food during bagging.

The cashiers are only rude when spoken to rudely. The store is dirty because it becomes overcrowded, we are severely understaffed, and there are just never enough people working. Ive been told to "watch your fat ass, it almost knocked my carriage and me across ths store. This man was in my personal space, standing right on my mat with me. People going On express with way more than is allowed being obstinate and aggressive when they have to be refused. It isn't fair that only certain industries are allowed to be critiqued so fiercely. Let me come to someone's office and tell them to stop being on Facebook or going on another...

This Market Basket is not bad, but the one in Westgate plaza on the other side of Haverhill is a bit nicer. Also, the Market Basket in Riverside plaza is just slightly better. It is in a convenient location and I usually go here to pick up a couple of items. If I need to do a full trip to the grocery store, I prefer Westgate. Market Basket, in general, has much better prices than Shaw's and Stop n' Shop and the quality is close to them. This Market Basket gets busy because of its' great location.
