You will also see lots of big and beautiful koi swimming around. The turtle pond is on the property of the restaurant. It is walled off and surrounded by a larger body of water called the Ice Pond. It gets its name owing to the fact that this is where underground springs empty into Hilo Bay and the water is chilly.
