I got all the way up the road to hana before I realized I didn't get my chips and cookie. when I got back they were still open so I went in and told them. they gave me a really dry cookie and bag of lays potato chips but nothing extra for my touble. when I got the chips and cookie I realized they were such low quality I didn't even want them and ended up throwing the cookie away. the sandwhich was ok, but kinda small for 10 dollars. I could have eaten better at the bbq truck on the road to hana. I guess this is convienient and affordable to most family's and the Gelato looked good, and the servers were friendly, but I wasn't very impressed overall with the meal. it definitely left me wanting more, and if you are doing any hiking along the trip like i was you may want to order 2 sandwiches. I'm so glad we found this place! We ordered sandwiches to bring on one of our long hikes. You can call your order in ahead of time and tell them when you want to pick it up. They'll have your sandwiches wrapped and ready to go. My only suggestion is, if they don't answer the phone just call back 10min later. They do get quite busy before lunchtime. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty and fresh they are. My favorite was the Italian Sub, which really hit the spot after a long day hiking. Great option if looking for a picnic! We had plans to watch the sunset on Haleakala and decided to bring a dinner. We stopped into Hana Picnic Lunch Co. in the morning on the way to the beach to see our options. The staff there was friendly and said we could order ahead of time and they would hold the sandwiches for us to pick up later that afternoon before our trip. We were told that they stop making sandwiches at 2pm but would keep ours in the fridge for a pickup after 2pm. The sandwiches were good. We did the combo which included chips and a cookie.
