One star for this experience. I couldn't get service at electronics after I pushed every pin pad that said "CALL for service" twice. So I just found what I thought I needed, went back to the counter & started opening the product to see if it fit a laptop that I brought in with me. As I'm pulling plugs from the packaging, cashier FINALLY shows up and asks if she could help me and wasn't happy with the answer, which was "after waiting for almost 10 minutes for assistance, I decided to help myself" and was then tried to rush me. I took all the time that I needed to ensure I was purchasing the correct product! The Hilo store is definitely NOT close, which is why I brought my laptop in to begin with. I was not going to guess if a product was correct. While I was waiting for assistance, I watched 2 store associates assist a customer, then walk away, only to walk by me several more times, making eye contact and continue to walk away, instead of asking if I needed assistance or calling some...
Read moreOk, here we go! Waiakea center, formerly just a big pasture nestled with the landlord being "Hawaiian Homelands"!! This is what I call the "nerve & nervous center" where people and personalities collide into one big shopping arena!! Walmart, Ross, Target, Safeway, longs(CVS) etc. etc. etc! Plan a day, or a couple and grab a movie, pickup supplies, and cruise the ball and people watch! We welcome everyone as locals and we appreciate you coming to the "Big Island"!! Without tourist or tourism, no island could exist! Honest truth!! Read moreEmployees are rude or uninformed or distracted or tired. In the end, few of the employees were able to be helpful. When I spoke to the manager she wanted to know "which employee?" So I presume the manager doesn't know how to manage.
This was our first visit and the prices were incredibly cheap but so were the products. The prices were so low that I couldn't help wonder which country the child labor was located. Worried me.
Lastly, the crowds in the store were like unmasked hoards of crazy people destroying the Mom & Pop stores on the island.
