I have been quiet long enough to give Target, Hilo time to solve their pricing problems. Their BAIT AND SWITCH is now out of control because of the Christmas rush and people do not check the tab until later, as in my case AGAIN. Most of the errors are in the food department because stockers are young and uninformed of problem they cause when they just put canned goods in any hole that is open. Over the last two years, I have filed complaints (5) about it with no correction in sight, not that they give a damm. They just take your money and hope that you don't notice that $0.50 or more, but if you total up that with say 2,000 people a day, it adds up to BIG money. In my case today it was a wrong tag on a ham, and I was in a hurry. While I was cleaning up the mess at home, I noticed that there were two tags on the ham. One was for $11.81 and the other for $15.95. Both tags showed the same weight and one was $1.29 per #, which was the POSTED PRICE. The other was $1.79. So they got me for around $5.00. I called TARGET and was told that "At Christmas time prices change by supply and demand!" but if I brought it back, they would charge me only $1.49 which is the current price. And there is the game they play; will people drive the distance to get $1.00 back and use $4.00 worth of gas. I'm 85 and live on a tight pension and I think that the County of Hawaii and/or the State of Hawaii should go in and just take a quick scan and help us old folks out. HELL, I'll just go back to Wal-Mart , but I will bring it up at the next...
Read moreTarget is a great shopping option in my community. The staff are very friendly, knowledgable and so willing to cheerfully help this elderly, tech challenged lady with her Target app on smart phone! Personally, some may find me unusual for a woman because I do not enjoy shopping for anything! However, my recent experience at Target was really quite pleasant. I needed three things that were somewhat foreign to me. 1. Learn how to access a gift card (for payment) sent to me via email. The customer service had me using my Target App like a pro in mere minutes. 2. Needed help choosing an SDHC card for my underwater camera. The young lady in electronics was very helpful! 3. Needed help with a price-matched item at checkout. The app kept telling me the item was not in stock; probably because I grabbed the last one. But the clerk that checked me out, took one look at the price match and gave me the discount, then helped my pay with my gift card! Voila! What a fun and easy experience. Each of the three employees I had interacted with were polite, knowledgable, warm, friendly and happy to help me. I've spent decades in customer service related jobs and really feel the help I received was absolutely top-notch! Mahalo Target...
Read moreWe bought three SIM cards (Boost) for over 130$. After the first one was activated,we were assured they would work (within six hours at the latest). We spend two hours in the store for purchase and activation, and then another three hours for the followimg day because it didn't work! Later, we made by ourselve numerous phone calls to call centers, the Boost office e.g. We then wanted to cancel the refund, but the store's software couldn't (and the high store employees don't want it) process it. We were passed from employee to employee (at least five). In the end, we were given the turnaround and even lied to. Employees who tried to help us were "send to the back room", e.g. Even exchanging the over 130$ for a gift card (which would have meant the... our money could still stayed in the store) was refused. A lot of incocompetence, but even worse in the company policy and its dishonesty! With Telekom, it only took 30min and everything worked immediateley without any problems! Target and Boost?...
