I went to Chanel in hopes that they would be able to repair my trusty Coco Top Handle Quilted White Caviar Flap Bag that I’ve had forever. It’s that one purse in your closet that goes with most of your outfits, fits just the right amount of stuff, and it’s been on all of your greatest adventures. I noticed one day that the chain on the top of the bag started to tarnish and rub off on the bag creating this ugly dark color around where the chain rubbed the bag and there was normal wear and tear on the bottom. I was happy to pay to fix it as this is what happens when you use a bag of this quality as your everywhere, everyday, all the time bag. I made an appointment just for the bag fixer specialist at Chanel to flat out tell me there is nothing they could do about it and that it was my fault because I got the bag wet. I definitely did not but even if I threw the bag in the river and wanted to pay to have it fixed would it make a difference? They didn’t even recommend any other suggestions. It was very “I’m just here to sell and after that it’s not my problem.” If you can make and sell bags why can’t you fix them? As someone who owns 10+ Chanel bags and loves Chanel, I have had zero issues with any of them. I was shocked to hear the word “nothing”. My darling sales associate who is the best could see that I was not satisfied with this answer (who would be) and recommended that I go to Deno’s to see what they could do as she has heard promising things from other clients. I was about to take a magic eraser to my bag until I decided it’s worth a shot. I took the bag into Deno’s and their wonderful and kind staff greeted me with such enthusiasm and kindness. After telling them the story they said “of course they could fix it”. They even recommended a different place to repair the tarnished chain since they do not do that. After exactly two weeks I got the text that my bag was ready and I rushed over to get it. It looked BRAND NEW and I could not believe it. And it was only $85 (price varies depending on each bag and the damage of course). Thank you Deno’s for saving my bag and most importantly being kind and willing to help. I cannot recommend them and their staff enough. First pic is before and two after that are after. Then I included some of the adventures she’s been on with me. So glad to have her back in...
Read moreI have had several items repaired at Deno's over the years. I have never had an issue with the quality of the work. It has always been outstanding. Most recently, they fixed my daughter's Louis Vuitton purse. The handles were coming unglue and I was aghast at the low quality of LV's craftsmanship. But Deno's made it better!
Rather than just glue everything back together, I asked them to restitch everything. Surprisingly the LV appeared to have handles that were stitched-through, but they weren't. The stitching was for decoration and the only thing really holding the handles together at the base was some glue.
Deno's to the rescue! I never had a doubt.
The reason why is because they have fixed so many bags and luggage for me. They have fixed boots & shoes. One time they even made a shoulder strap for my suede Beretta overnight bag. And another time they made me a cool new lining for the same Beretta bag. Yet another time, a puppy found my bag and chewed up a handle and they replaced that too.
And their prices to me are so reasonable. Everytime I have had to use them, it seems like the price is usually less than half what I thought it would be.
I did read some negative reviews, and I would set this expectation: Leather is one of those things that ages and develops a worn look. It saddens me people expect something to look "brand new". Deno's can make things like shoes look much better, but it is impossible to make something even slightly used to look brand new. Don't expect that because it won't happen.
Deno's can however make the best of any bad situation. That's what they do. I won't go anywhere else. I drive from North Fort Worth to use them and they have never...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would… I took in two pairs of luxury brand sandals to have the straps adjusted, as they were too big. I waited a month for them to be adjusted, no big deal. When I finally got the call that they were ready, I went to get them. When you enter the store upon arrival, you pay for your service first then they give you the item. I paid $130 to have my shoes adjusted to fit properly. When I went to try them on, they were flying off of my feet as I walked around the shop. I told the associates that I wasn’t able to walk in my shoes, because the straps were so huge. I stuck around for about an hour and 15 minutes whilst the older man fiddled about with them, in between him working on other items. During my wait, one of the women who works up front proceeded to loudly call every single male who entered the shop “my baby, my baby”- even the mailman. She continued to call every female who entered the shop “momma”. It was soooo cringy, I was dying inside. I could tell that other customers felt awkward, as well. Needless to say, I left Deno’s with my shoes in worse condition than they arrived in and just handed them $130 for absolutely nothing. They’re ruined. Unwearable. I think that “back in the day”, Deno’s was probably the go-to place for shoe repair. I’m sure over the years they’ve changed ownership, but still ride on the coattails of the name. I would never recommend this establishment nor would I ever...
