I chose this company based on the raving reviews but I was still dreading going in to look at mattresses. I am 28 years old and I’ve never had to buy a new mattress, I have had the same mattress that my parents purchased for me when I was 16 years old (ick!). Needless to say, I was dreading the potential “Car sales-man pressured commission” situation and just wanted to get an idea of the type of mattress me and my husband were looking for. I felt instant relief when I walked into the store and was greeted “Hi there, welcome in.”, but my husband and I were left alone for a couple of minutes while we started feeling around on beds to see what we were looking for. When the nice gentleman came over, he just asked if we had any idea what we were looking for, explained a few of the bed types they had and explained their return policy, how they’re not paid on commission, and a few other helpful tips – all and all, this only took 3 minutes or so and it was truly helpful information that was good to know. He then left us alone to test out beds and get an idea of what we were looking for. It was a breath of fresh air to not be hounded by a sales person awkwardly standing over you test out beds or continue to keep “checking in” and bothering you. I couldn’t have been more pleased! We found an amazing mattress that we both liked, then compared prices via phone to 5 local companies and online as well – nothing was cheaper! We bought the mattress (went from a Queen to a King), so we had a new bed frame as well and it was a very short head board. We opted for a VERY VERY low profile “box spring”, which is actually a Bunkie board (essentially plywood wrapped in material) to ensure the mattress wasn’t too tall and covering half the decorative head board. We had a discount since the Bunkie board is much cheaper than a box spring and received several ‘free items’ to make up for the cost savings, it was very nice! After the mattress arrived, it was a tad shorter than I had measured and there was a gap between the headboard and mattress (things could easily fall behind the bed), I tried to see if I could make it work for a few weeks and then decided to call them and ask if we could return or exchange. They said no problem and would only adjust the cost of how much more the box spring is than the Bunkie board. It was a piece of cake and only costs $65 more to exchange, we also wanted another waterproof mattress cover and they threw that in for free. The owners are so pleasant to work with and truly seem to care about your comfort and happiness. I was beyond pleased with how easy the entire process was and the cost savings. I would recommend anyone to visit Mattress Mega Store if they’re needing a new...
Read moreWorking with the guys here was pleasant and I got an amazing price on a very nice bed! The selection here is much better than Mattress Firm and bed mart and the prices are so much better!!!!! I got a quality mattress for hundreds of dollars less then I would have got a crappy mattress at Mattress Firm and by crappy I mean the sales person at Mattress Firm literally was trying to talk me out of buying because it wasn't this kind of quality the other beds were so my question was why did they have it on the floor in the first place, not to mention the people at Mattress Firm try to lie to me about what the Progressive Financing program was all about just so they could get a sale out of me. The progressive program is great there's nothing wrong with that but Mattress Firm told me that after I pay it off the mattress I could request a transaction list and give it to the credit bureaus to get positive credit score which when my fact-checked it with the credit bureau experian- is not true. Russ and Tim are really great and they know a lot about the beds they helped me find just the perfect one and I literally felt like the Princess and the Pea in terms of what I was looking for and they nailed it!!! I highly recommend going here over anywhere else save yourself money and get yourself a better bed here. Thanks for...
Read moreBut they are reselling these used beds to the public as "floor models" or even as "New"!!! I was completely blown away when I heard this. That is WRONG on so many levels, morally, ethically etc. etc.! How dare you do that to people, this company should be ashamed of themselves.
in response to your reply on my comment, I'm a tad amused and bit confused by your statement here. Firstly, damaged, scratched, ripped dented and demo mattresses are from "perfect condition". I think we have a very different view on what is considered to be "perfect condition" because I can assure you that, anything I considered to be "perfect condition" isn't going to be scratched, dented or ripped. Secondly, and just because the customer has a piece of paper stating what product they are receiving doesn't mean that they are going to receive exactly what was printed on that piece of paper. In a perfect world, yes. But let's be honest here, sadly we don't. I've worked in retail, and you'd be surprised the lengths some people will go to turn a profit. Lastly, it sounds like you are unfamiliar with the bill of rights. That's the beautiful thing about this country. That I can give my opinion, express my views and beliefs vocally or digitally whether you care for them or not, is my right. It sounds (to me) like you are trying...
