One of the worst experiences of my life. Too bad, because the performers were excellent and show, Sister Act, was a lot of fun. My wife is Concierge at a local 4 star hotel. She was leaving from work. I was meeting my wife at the door and the door Nazis would not let me try to locate her. Finally found my wife and showed them our tickets so we could get in. We attempted to enter the theater to find where we were seated and once again stopped by the inside door Nazis. When I inquired why there was extra equipment set up in the primary seating area i was told very nastily "This is a dress rehearsal. They have that set up for taking notes if they need to make any changes. They are not going to leave it like that when the show starts." I never saw that before at ANY dress rehearsal I ever was invited. Event was a dress rehearsal with food provided by Bucci's restaurant. OMG; worst Italian food I ever tasted. I had intentions of donating a large amount of money to the Arts Center, but not after that treatment. Arts Center Director needs to get some fresh and pleasant staff and deep six the old crabs they...

Director Whitaker Gannon has an important message and delivered it beautifully. The Arts Center is lucky to have someone of Director Gannon’s caliber and we the public are the true...
Read moreMy wife and I visited the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina in December 2022 for the play "A Christmas Story - The Musical." The play was funny and heartwarming and all the actors did a wonderful job both acting and singing. It was our first visit to the venue and we sat in the back row center of the theater. The seats were comfortable and our view of the stage was very good. The staff we encountered were helpful and friendly and the sound and lighting in the theater were both excellent. This is a rather intimate theater so there really are no bad seats, but we were glad that we chose the seats toward the middle. Bathrooms are a little cramped and can be crowded during intermission. We had a great time and look forward to...
