The Arts Center is an AMAZING place to see a show! We went to see Get the Led Out and we couldn't have had more fun! Any seat in the auditorium is a good seat. The auditorium only holds 350 people. This was our first time and we bought front row. Front row in this venue is like sitting front row at a movie theater. I highly suggest third row and back. Also, when you purchase a beverage, the venue makes you spend an additional $5 on a sippy cup. We were not thrilled about that, however, you can use it for upcoming events. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves. Heading back this summer with the girls to see Legally Blonde!!

While vacationing in Hilton Head, we stopped to see In the Heights and were absolutely blown away by the quality of the play and the premier performances. There is plenty of room for sitting: "In the Heights” is a musical created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the music and lyrics. The story is set in the vibrant neighborhood of Washington Heights in New York City and follows the lives of its residents over the course of three days. The musical explores themes of community, identity, and the pursuit of dreams

This was one of the best shows I have EVER seen and I have seen NY Broadway shows and have also seen "Mama Mia" in Charlotte back in 2002. Every single dancer and actor/actress in this group stood out in a special way with their talents and personality. So VERY well done! Such talent! If I could, I would come back and see it again and again. I am still singing!

One of the worst experiences of my life. Too bad, because the performers were excellent and show, Sister Act, was a lot of fun. My wife is Concierge at a local 4 star hotel. She was leaving from work. I was meeting my wife at the door and the door Nazis would not let me try to locate her. Finally found my wife and showed them our tickets so we could get in. We attempted to enter the theater to find where we were seated and once again stopped by the inside door Nazis. When I inquired why there was extra equipment set up in the primary seating area i was told very nastily "This is a dress rehearsal. They have that set up for taking notes if they need to make any changes. They are not going to leave it like that when the show starts." I never saw that before at ANY dress rehearsal I ever was invited. Event was a dress rehearsal with food provided by Bucci's restaurant. OMG; worst Italian food I ever tasted. I had intentions of donating a large amount of money to the Arts Center, but not after that treatment. Arts Center Director needs to get some fresh and pleasant staff and deep six the old crabs they...

DO YOU KNOW WHAT SPELLBOUND FEELS LIKE?

I have always enjoyed performances at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, but rarely have I been as enthralled as I was with last night’s performance of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time.”

The lead role of Christopher was more genuine than one can imagine. The entire audience was Spellbound. At several times during the play the theatre was eerily and deathly silent.

As Christopher, actor Mariah Lotz, poured all they had into this role. Their energy permeated the stage and the entire cast was inspired.

Director Whitaker Gannon has an important message and delivered it beautifully. The Arts Center is lucky to have someone of Director Gannon’s caliber and we the public are the true...

My wife and I visited the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina in December 2022 for the play "A Christmas Story - The Musical." The play was funny and heartwarming and all the actors did a wonderful job both acting and singing. It was our first visit to the venue and we sat in the back row center of the theater. The seats were comfortable and our view of the stage was very good. The staff we encountered were helpful and friendly and the sound and lighting in the theater were both excellent. This is a rather intimate theater so there really are no bad seats, but we were glad that we chose the seats toward the middle. Bathrooms are a little cramped and can be crowded during intermission. We had a great time and look forward to...
