Dinner 2/20/2025 - we joined my mother in law and father in law for MILs birthday dinner here. She loves it ever since we recommended it to them. They used to love this location years ago when it was La Famiglia which was an Italian restaurant for dinner only. GT international does really tasty Italian dishes. Last night I had the Linguine Carbonara, I usually would only eat half, and bring the rest home for a lunch, but it was so good, I scarfed the entire dish. Picture of that included. Thanks to Tommy, the owner, for being a great host and serving us, great humor.

Breakfast: 2/17/25 - rode bikes on day off to grab late Breakfast. We had heard about how good they do breakfast and it did not disappoint, I had the Traditional Bennies w Hash Browns and Grits, wife had Omelette w Cheese Onions Green Peppers and tomatoes w red potatoes and English Muffins. Letty was our very cheerful and pleasant server and she asked if we would like hot sauce with breakfast. We said yes, and expected to see Franks or Tabasco or something from a bottle. She came back with a small pour of a green/yellow colored sauce. It was really a nice compliment to the hash Browns and the red potatoes and omelette. So good I had to ask Letty what it was, the answer was its house-made “Tomatillo”. That alone is worth coming back for, but really everything was great. Attached photos from dishes and sauce.

Dinner 1/17/2025 - We love this location, very charming and the owner Tommy is so friendly and has nice sense of humor. My wife and I were lucky to get to sit in the cute table for 2 by the window. We went for the Italian Nights menu. We Shared the Arancini appetizer, house salad, and she had the Linguini w Marinara, I had the owner recommended Lobster Ravioli. For dessert we shared the Douce de Leche. Everything we had was fantastic. One of the Best lobster ravioli dishes I have had. The arancini was nice, smaller bites, which I like. We will be back for sure! Thanks for a great dinner...

So me and a co-worker and I were in the area. We were looking for breakfast, and this spot came up. The place is not really big inside and it gets crowded fast. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated. Are waitress really didn't speak english. So I'm not for sure if that's part of the reason why her behavior was funny. Our waitress seemed as if she did not want to wait on us. She came to our table twice, and we noticed that she did not come back to ask us if he wanted anything to drink like coffee or water. Another waitress started coming to us, and our waitress just stayed around the back out of the way. I noticed that when another family was seated she was interacting with them when she came out on a constant basis but she never came back over to our table at all until it was time for us to pay and leave. I didn't really tell her nothing but $2, and I don't think she deserves that because there had to be other people waiting on us. She didn't even smile with us. So it kind of made me think that she just didn't like us because of our color, and I'm not trying to say anything if it's not, but that's how I felt from her actions. But everyone else in the restaurant seems pretty nice and easy-going. And the owner himself he cracked a little joke with us, and he was pretty nice. But that whole experience with the lady that was supposed to have been our waitress just made me feel really uneasy. The food was pretty good and so was the coffee. I mean that was the only con about this restaurant was the waitress...

I wanted to love this place. I'm hoping it was just an off day. But our experience was mediocre both in service and food. We chose this place because they offered gluten free options (pancakes and waffles).

My son ordered the gluten free pancakes with chocolate chips added. He was very happy with his meal. My daughter ordered the kids french toast which came with bacon. She doesn't eat meat. We asked if we could substitute it for something else and were told we couldn't. We ordered her some hasbrowns on the side. I ordered the salmon benedict with a side of red potatoes and fruit. I was a little surprised when it was served with salmon cakes as opposed to a salmon filet or even smoked salmon. The taste was pretty lackluster although the hasbrowns and fruit were both great. My husband ordered the Combian with Arepa, which he said was decent.

There are so many great places on the island that this would not be near the top of my list to return to.

Pro-tip: If you are staying at a Marriott property, show your room key to...

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!! It’s a required restaurant to stop by for breakfast or lunch if you’re visiting Hilton Head like we were. They accommodated our party of 7 and were so sweet and kind. Our food came out delicious and everyone feasted. I had the carnitas melt with their delicious red potatoes. Had the best biscuits and gravy I ever tried. Server was sweet and attentive despite being outside in the patio. Our meals didn’t break our bank like the other restaurants around town. A staff member came out and offered us a homemade green hot salsa that was to die for. We wanted to buy some, but he only had a small batch left. He went above and beyond and promised to sell a fresh batch if we came the next morning. Because of the deliciousness and uniqueness of the sauce, we detoured our trip back home to make sure we bought some sauce with us. Had to take a burrito to-go while I was there. So worth it and you guys left us with a memorable experience! THANK YOU!!

I enjoyed my biscuits and gravy at GT International Cafe. I can't say they were the best I've ever had but they were tasty. The hash browns were fine, as well. The atmosphere was quite homey and seemed fairly family oriented. To be honest, I did not even know the place was back behind that strip mall so I was pleasantly surprised to find it. The greeting and service to be seated were immediate and pleasant. I ordered relatively quickly as well. I was a little bit confused why it took 25 minutes for my food to come out when the cafe was really not that busy. I was also a little bit disappointed that I was not offered a refill on my water until after they delivered the check to my table. Everyone was friendly but it just felt a little bit off. I noticed a lot of other menu items going by that looked quite delicious and festive, so I imagine I will be coming back again to try some other dishes. Overall, I recommend people to come in and give it a shot.
