Knotted Rope Winery — Attraction in Hochatown

I hate that our experience was what it was. My husband and I stopped in, we were barely acknowledged and then treated as if we were an inconvenience. If we had questions about the wine we were told that the descriptions were on the menu. I picked a few to taste at random and am really not sure what I tasted because it was hastily poured and then pretty much just slung at me. We got the “hurry up and get the hell out” message loud and clear. It wasn’t said but it was strongly implied in the hostility of the young lady behind the bar. We figured maybe she was having a really rough day and I felt a little bad for her but after reading other reviews I see that this is apparently a common occurrence. We managed to get a giggle out of her before we left but we did just grab a couple of bottles at random and left as quickly as we could. Did not have a good experience here. My wife and I came here to buy a bottle of wine, not for a tasting. The woman behind the counter seemed extremely bothered that we were there (in an otherwise empty shop). When we asked what red she would recommend, she rudely said, “I don’t know. 🤷‍♀️ Look at the menu, it tells you the flavors”. I’m sorry, I thought this was a wine shop where they could maybe recommend the items they sell.

We ended up buying a random red, which turned out to be awful. Won’t be returning here again. Rude service and a $25 bottle of undrinkable wine was enough to make me leave...

Good wine, but terrible service. I went in with a few friends during the weekend. We were not greeted when we came in nor told how things would function. There was no room at the bar and we weren't made aware there was outdoor seating. So we stood awkwardly on the side while my friends did their tasting. I had a good glass of dry red wine.
