For the last 2 years we have gone to visit Beavers Bend state park, we have rented a cabin twice at Broken Bow vacations Cabins . On both occasions our experience was good, the first cabin we rented was better than the 2nd one. The first cabin we rented is tiger den. It was really an awesome cabin. The cabin was really nice, very clean, high quality fixtures . The 2nd cabin, we rented (stealin time) its still was ok although its not as clean as the tiger den cabin and one of the light fixtures was broken. During our stay at stealin time cabin , the washing machine was not working so they have to come and repair the machine while we were there. On both cabins, they have a fire pits and hot tubs and some other activities you could play for the whole family. Both cabins are close to the beavers bend state park. Overall we are happy renting with Broken Bow vacation cabins and will surely rent again next time we go to Broken Bow.

Stayed in their Sweet Water Paradise cabin for two nights. Both mornings (around 7am), I was awoken by the sound of hammering due to the construction of a new cabin 50 meters away. They also did not indicate their fireplaces were "turned off for the season" despite using them as a selling point in their description of their cabins. FYI, you have several chores to complete before you leave the 'vacation' cabin.

Wow, what an experience. Awesome cabins and the best family trip ever! Stayed in the 1 bedroom Driftwood cabin. The cabins are so clean, nice and kept up with. Every inch of it was spotless when we arrived. Location was awesome, hot tub on the patio was the icing on the cake. Will be back for sure

So, I waited several days to post this review of Narrow Escape. Initially my gut reaction was to post a scathing review on Google and Yelp, but I decided that was unfair because I didn’t really give it enough time to settle in… now that I have, I will post the full account of my experience. Yes, some of these things are “you cannot blame the owner for that”, and yes, that is partially true; however, the experience could be the same for future guests so I feel it is fair.

First of all, on the first night, our neighbors across the creek were awful. They were loud, obnoxious, possibly drunk, and despite our nicest efforts, were not interested in dialing the party back (they acted like we were rude for asking). We came out here for peace and quiet, and on our first night, none was to be had. Fortunately, the cabin owners sent security out the handle the situation at about 10:30 (I’m guessing we weren’t the only complaint). So, in the end, they addressed the situation and the next night was much more subdued (we could hear them, and their music, but it wasn’t stupid loud). Is this a fair complaint? I think, knowing there is a cabin a little over 100ft away, with a foosball table and loud outdoor speakers, that can hold a lot of people (a party cabin), is worth mentioning. The potential is always there for those type of guests next to Narrow Escape.

Second, something needs to be done about the AC upstairs. On the first night it woke us up every time it turned on (like someone popping a small firecracker). We eventually turned it off – which was ok because it was cool enough outside where we didn’t need it… but still… it needs to be fixed.

Also, in the upstairs bathroom, there was tar (or something) on the floor and the wall. I check to see if it could be removed (it could with a little elbow grease). Not sure why it hadn’t been cleaned up. That being said, the rest of the inside of the cabin was immaculate – very clean.

On the second night we stayed I noticed a cigarette butt on the table next to the hob tub in the screened in back porch (and a slight nicotine smell). I didn’t notice it the day before. So, either I (and the cleaning crew) missed it… or the person who came to fill the hob tub that morning took a smoke break and forgot to remove the evidence… or some random person entered our cabin without permission. Not sure which… but it did make me go “hmmm”.

Speaking of the hot tub, it is partially broken. On the first night we didn’t have water (which was explained to us in advance – due to water restrictions). That is fine, and it isn’t their fault; however, generally speaking, a hot tub with jets actually blows bubbles and massages… this one is just warm water with a broken dial (it has been stripped where you cannot increase, or decrease, the bubble flow). The stripped dial appears to be set at the lowest setting… which is essentially zero bubbles. Also, we tried adjusting the temperature down, but I don’t think that works either. I set it to 70 degrees overnight, on the last night, to conserve energy since they were going to drain it the next day; however, it was still fully warm.

Finally, the waterfall feature above the fireplace was not working (the one you see in the pictures).

Was it all bad? Absolutely not! This cabin was gorgeous and had everything we need to cook our meals, enjoy our wine, and make ourselves at home. The view outside is great – you can see and hear the creek nearby. The firepit was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. It is perfect distance from everything, and if you don’t have obnoxious neighbors, it feels quite secluded. Would I stay in this cabin again? Nope… I’d try my luck with a different one. Narrow Escape did not live up to my...

I've never been so disrespected in my life. On February 2nd we scheduled my birthday get away to Broken Bow. I've been wanting to go for YEARS!! We have never had the money to take the trip but I was so excited to finally be able to afford it! We regretfully did not buy the insurance that covered cancellations. I figured that was something for anyone who changed their minds or had flat tires and what not. Ive never booked a vacation so I had no clue what to expect. My husbands grandmother unexpectedly passed away and I notified Broken Bow immediately. As a matter of fact it was the same day on my way to the hospital Feburary 24th. The man (who also regretfull I did not get his name because I was so upset trying to take care of everything planned including care for my husband and his family) was completely disrespectful making remarks "did you not buy our insurance?!" (He said that in a sarcastic rude way)I told him I was not expecting a death and he continued to have rude remarks after the fact. My husband spoke with a woman who said she would do the best she could to help get the cabin booked so we could rebook to another weekend. I emailed back after the funeral this weekend and someone else responded saying it did not book. I asked if we could reschedule. We didn't even want a refund we wanted to reschedule to another weekend. Any weekend they felt best, we were completely open. They completely ignored every question I had besides the one asking if it rebooked. All we want now is 1 nice weekend to help us move past all the bad that has happened the past week. We spent 900 dollars. That's ALOT for anyone! We dont have that kind of money to just throw out there. Had I known this would happen we would have gotten the insurance. They are still ignoring my message about wanting...

I was due to check in on a Sunday, when I arrive I received an email stating the pool table was removed and I could cancel and get a full refund due to this change. Well I didn't get that email until I was already here and couldn't speak to anyone regarding the situation. I moved on and tried to make it work until I could speak with someone. I went to get a cooking pan from under the cabinet and it was full of left over food that I guess no one took the time to check and make sure it was clean, but I had to move on because I didn't have anyone to speak with. The refrigerator was leaking water on our food but still no one to speak with regarding this problem. Monday came and I spoke with a woman regarding this issue and she said she would pass it on to the manager and call me back. Did she call back? NO! Around 330 on Monday I woman come and says she has to put cleaner in the hot tub well that sucks because we are already on day two and you just now want to put cleaner in. I showed her the things that I had seen and she said she understood and would let them know as well. I still didn't get a call. Tuesday is my check out day and I had to reach out to them once again. No one had passed the story along so I had to tell it once more. Frustrating for sure, but I did. The woman that answered the phone said she would talk with the manager and let me know but before she could hang up she came back and said well the best we can do is give you a 100.00 dollar credit. No I'm sorry that you had to deal with all of this nothing. So I can't say I will stay with this company again. This place is not cheap and you would expect...
