TL;DR: No masks or social distancing, terrible service with the exception of Caleb (thanks dude!), legit cheese curds, burger, and beer.
First, the reviews mentioning the complete lack of masks and social distancing protocols are accurate. Which is a little frightening, since McCurtain County is one of the top 10 counties in Oklahoma for active cases, so if you're concerned about that I would definitely avoid. We decided to wear masks and eat outside to mitigate risk. (It was also one of the only places open after 8:00pm on a Monday, so our choices were kind of limited.) The rude child of a hostess told us we could seat ourselves on the patio but gave us no other information about how to order. Many of the tables were open but dirty, still piled with dishes and trash, but we found one that was empty with a couple clean seats. After being outside for at least 10 minutes enduring the "karaoke" (I won't even get into the fact that many of the staff were more interested in drinking and talking with the patrons and two guys hosting the karaoke) we finally flagged down the first staff we saw who was actually working. Caleb (who was awesome) told us the process for ordering food at the front with the rude child hostess and drinks at the bar, unless you already had a tab at the bar, in which case you could order both food and drinks at the bar. When we went in to order, the rude child hostess was on her phone and seemed irritated at having to do her job. We ordered the cheese curds and the jalapeño cream cheese burger. We also decided to enjoy a couple beers, the Hocha-rita and the Dunkel Fest. Service at the bar was equally unimpressive. The food was legit, though. The curds were amazing and the flavor of the burger was on point. The fries were also awesome. Caleb brought our food out and made sure we had everything we needed. He and the food are pretty much the only reason this place gets two stars. We left at 8:50, tipping Caleb on the way out, and they were just starting to bus the outside tables. I've seen multiple reviews mentioning the service here and I can understand when it's busy (I waited tables for years) but it wasn't even remotely busy and the service was terrible (except for Caleb. Did I mention Caleb? Mad props). Seriously, staff...
Read moreWhile the interior of the brewery is nice, and the pizza oven looks impressive, we didn't actually get the chance to try any food. There are two separated dining areas. One is around the bar, the other seems to be a more general "all ages" seating area. We first found a table in the general area, but the open tables were all messy and cluttered, in need of a wipe down to remove used napkins and rogue bits of pizza toppings. No servers ever approached us, even after sitting for around 7 to 10 minutes. Well, ok....so we moved to a table near the bar. A bartender, after another nearly ten minutes, handed us one stained and crumpled menu and said, "I'm busy at the bar, I'll be back in a little while." Ten minutes later, after two other servers avoided eye contact with us and walked out of their way to skirt our table, still no actual service. I understand bartenders need to keep their drinkers happy (tips), but the lack of attention was blatant. Were we supposed to order at the long line of people at the counter near the front entrance? Was this a case of being understaffed? I have no idea.
The food *might be good, who knows? I might've been able to write a glowing review here, complete with accolades and recommendations. Unfortunately, an unclear ordering system and inattentive staff prevented us from experiencing any of the local brews or pizza baked in that fancy looking oven that surely cost a fortune to procure and install. The bartender watched us leave without saying a word, apparently not caring about lost revenue or walking ten feet to our table.
We went down the street to a different pizza restaurant and had a great meal with friendly, ...
Read moreOur family of 5 came here for lunch Friday on arrival to the area. It didn't look like they were really busy, so maybe they were just understaffed. Had the young lady that takes orders at the register delivering food, so it took a little bit till we were able to place our order. She was very pleasant and apologized for the delay. After placing our order there was a little bit of time that passed until they brought our food and we let the young lady know that we were missing our side items, said she'll get it angrily and walked away. After a while and after almost everyone was finished with their food, my husband went to ask about our sides and to get a to go box and when he inquired the same young lady who delivered our food yelled at him. We eventually got our food that was delayed, got our Togo box, and left. We were looking forward to trying this place because we travel and try alot of restaurants and breweries, but were disappointed. We understand delays, mistakes and were very patient, literally waited until almost everyone was done with their meal to inquire about our forgotten items, but the yelling at my husband was uncalled for. Atmosphere just seemed very tense, looked like they were all just overwhelmed, eventually end up taking it out on...
