Big Timber Lodge — Hotel in Hochatown

I'm doing a review, but not for your normal circumstances. Unfortunately, during our stay here in Hochatown for a nice weekend getaway, our cabin was struck by lighting and caught fire. What was supposed to be a weekend full of fun with friends and family turned into a nightmare rushing to get 8 adults and 7 children out of a burning house. Only seconds after we got out, did the house fill with black smoke with no way to get in or out without serious injury or death. Now, at midnight in the middle of a severe thunderstorm with 4 couples and their children, we had no idea what to do or where to go. Spring break is upon us, which means every lodge or hotel is booked. Luckily, I remembered seeing this place and stopped by to hopefully see someone. Behold there were people in the rec center/lobby. After informing them of our situation, hoping there were rooms available, there was no hesitation where they instantly cleared out their lobby and filled it with beds, cots, and blow-up mattresses. It's $5000 to rent this place out for only 3 nights and 4 days. When we arrived one room had pills in the bathroom sink, 3 other rooms fridges didn't work, and one room had a doorknob come out. The pool was full of bugs and the railing for the step came out as it was unstable. The hot tub was hot but the jets didn't work. Both the pool and hot tub had cracks in the concrete. The furniture and the pool table in the wss broken and the ice maker is rather small. The air in the room work fairly well and it was fun overall with my group, but this next year they are raising the rental price to $9000. I wouldn't suggest...

The beds are terrible. We have rented this lodge for 6 years and they are the same beds since it was new. The shower tub in room 3 has a fiberglass patch like a auto body shop would use. The couch’s are broke down and worn out. There’s no maintenance goes back into this place. And they have doubled in price in one year. We paid $5200 this year for 3 nights called to book for next year $9990. They advertise on vrbo for $1890 per night so don’t fall for this place. And the parking lot is too tight for someone...
