I had an extremely disappointing experience at playtime pottery. First off, there was no warning or clear communication about when we needed to leave, which made the visit feel rushed and uncomfortable. The owner was rude and unapproachable, and her mannerisms were off-putting. I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a place of business.
After I left a legitimate, honest review reflecting my experience, I received a text from the owner personally telling me “What exactly do you think closing time means? If you go to a restaurant, do they come to your table a half hour before closing to "warn" you?” This kind of response is completely unprofessional and unnecessary. She continued to text and belittle me saying “i am an adult and not to act like a child” To make matters worse, after the exchange, I was blocked on Facebook so I couldn’t even respond to a post she made talking about our interaction. It’s shocking to me how unprofessional, disrespectful, and childish the entire situation was.
If you’re looking for a place that values customer respect and professionalism, I would highly suggest looking elsewhere. This experience was overall disappointing and i will not...
Read moreThe shop owner of Playtime Pottery is very rude. She made my family feel unwelcome and is very abrupt with customers. There is no closing warning to help you pace yourself with completing projects. The becomes angry at customers who are trying to quickly finish projects they have paid for.
Also - don't think that the owners will help or teach you anything. They feel that posting a flier on the tables is enough - their attitude is READ IT YOURSELF. The quality of their painting supplies is also poor; so poor that my mother took her own brushes.
Watching her talk to the children at a party that was going on made family uncomfortable. She was nice while parents were standing there but quick to scold and correct children when mothers weren't right there.
I would say to beware of this place unless you are best friends with the owners. Those seem to be the only people...
Read moreWhat a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with my little lady! The selection of pottery to paint is vast -something for everyone and every budget. My little one chose an Easter piece and did well with coating it three times.
I appreciated the instructions being available on the table so I could read them and explain them to my little one in a way she would understand vs someone else explaining it to her.
The owner was super friendly and available to us even though it was pretty busy when we got there. I forgot the name of the color I was using when I went to get a refill of glaze. She easily was able to let me know which color I was using just by looking at the small blotch I had left in my paint pallet.
Lots of brushes and accessories to use to customize pieces. Atmosphere is bright and clean. We will...
