I am diabetic with neuropathy in my feet and came to Castaway Island at TY Park to enjoy the day as the water provides me therapy in my legs. They had an event on the opposite end of the pool that ended by 12. The Lead Lifeguard allowed me access as he made exceptions for those who couldn’t walk the very long walk around the park, as long as I took a chair on the other end and did not enter the water until 1pm. I followed instructions, I was alone, and every 5-9 minutes another staff member would approach me questioning me why I was there. I showed my receipt and explained the exception made and each time they were fine and told me to enjoy my day, even the Park Ranger. 11 minutes before 1pm I was harassed by Nunez who stated he was the manager and stated I had to leave, harassing me, making me cry. I walked back to where I paid, limping and in tears and requested a refund which I was given. Unbelievable!! I was there an hour prior to this happening and the pool was to open in 11 minutes. Terrible to do to a frequent customer…I’m beyond angry. On Mothers Day Weekend I had to drive 40 minutes back home extremely upset. All these “children” want to be bosses with no skills to handle customer service appropriately. Thanks for ruining my...
Read moreI'm quite disappointed. I was in West Park visiting my brother from jersey. Wanted to take my daughter to a water park to keep cool. My nephew told me not to come here . I didn't listen. Came on 4th of July, 2019, just for a few hours . The morning for the first couple of hours was very nice , quiet . Couple of hours later , got super packed . People so loud , with Bluetooth speakers about 3 or 4 ft tall , blasting , with all their food etc like the pool belonged to them. Here in Jersey that's not allowed. Food yes , but music no unless it's little speakers and volume for yourself . Rap music that had curse words and people twerking . Really ?! So classless. I can't believe that's allowed and no security what's so ever . That's just terrible. A place that could be so nice and enjoyable and family oriented and they allow this . I would say raise the price to $15 per person and have regulated strict rules and security . Some pools check the bags especially if not the best neighborhood . I felt bad for the other families that were there and just wanted to enjoy their time. We should all feel comfortable and safe where we go . Didn't look safe . No stars . I just had to click on one in order to...
Read moreSo I absolutely love this water park! I have come here for parties and I have had my son's party here on two different occasions.
Reservations are a breeze. Everything is done online. Depending on when your child's party or event is slated to be you may have to wait until the system opens back up because the park is closed during the "winter" months. So you just have to stay on top of it to ensure that you get the day that you want.
You are allowed to bring food in but it can't be anything that they sale. So for example, because they sale pizza you wouldn't be able to have pizza hut deliver pizza. The last time I had my son's party here, I got the pizza and I am pretty sure that that will be the last time. It was not good at all. It was like easy bake oven pizza or lunchable pizza even.
Parking can get crazy as the day goes on so you have to be a little creative with that as people are not trying to park too far from the water park. So you mainly want to make sure that you're parking somewhere that you don't run the risk of being blocked in.
Overall it is a great water park. It is slower than CB Smith's water park which I enjoy as my son is small. Each time I have gone, it isn't...
