I showed up to the once-a-year fundraiser—not really knowing what to expect, except that it set me back $113 at the door. Steep? Maybe. But then you walk in and see it: twenty food vendors lined up like a culinary gauntlet, each one offering something that makes you say, “Yeah, I could eat that.” nonalcoholic drinks, wine if you want it, and great live music. It’s a family scene. Kids running around, parents pretending not to chase them, games and activities designed to wear them out. Normally not my thing—but here, it works. There’s something wholesome about it, but not in a saccharine way. It’s genuine. food was plentiful. Thoughtful. You actually get your money’s worth, which in events like this is more rare than you’d think. Everything’s organized, no chaos—and the volunteers, all church folk, are warm in that way that makes you feel like maybe humanity isn’t completely doomed. I’d come back. Not because it’s the most thrilling event in the world, but because it’s real. It’s community. And sometimes, that’s more satisfying than any plate of food.

My friend has been attending the "Chinese Mass" at 11:45am on Sundays. I finally decided to go with her because I wanted to go shopping at Kahala Mall afterwards... Haha! Surprisingly, I liked Father Paul, the open air environment, and the music. Remember to keep your mask on and sing along to yourself to prevent the spread of viruses!

Beautiful and natural church. This Campus is very natural and beautiful. Side doors open to give the church a light open feel with the cool Pacific breeze gently keeping the church cool.

Actually didnt attend church but went to the East Honolulu Food Festival. It was fantastic! Many local eateries were there sharing their small tapas style plates. Once you purchase a ticket everything is covered, including beer, moscato and wine. (Cocktails are charged a fee) The event is fun for families because there is a mini carnival for kids with a few kiddie helicopter/other rides (suitable for toddlers toelementary stidents ), and is all included in the ticket price. 2019 tickets (presales from school) were $75 for adults and $30 for kids. ...

Most irreverant liturgy I have ever seen. Women in the place of lectors, worst music I've ever heard, Priest was trying to act as an entertainer while giving the homily, and mothers' day blessings were given DURING THE MASS instead of afterward. All the negative reviews were probably removed as a part of a disinformation campaign. I strongly recommend not attended Mass here as it's a tourist trap for Catholics and...
