Let me say this. As a native Hawaiian supporting local artists we sometimes do not receive the warmest welcome when entering an establishment. Magnolia is the total opposite of that. From the moment my daughter and I stepped in we felt completely welcomed and at home. The owner, Maggie is an absolute gem. We purchased a tahitian pearl bracelet by a local artist for my sister's birthday and she absolutely LOVED it! My daughter purchased a necklace for herself as well. The experience was so memorable that we returned a week later. I purchased my 2nd diffuser (OMG the aroma is to die for) and some prints from a local artist that will look fabulous in my living room. She showed me the different pieces of the same item (as they were each hand painted and slightly different upon comparing) in which I ended up purchasing. She also provided gift wrap options. Read moreI really wanted to like this store. Such gorgeous things that reflect the beauty of Hawaii. What made my visit junk was the overbearing staff following me around. I get it. My appearance doesn't match the typical demographic that usually comes in. But come on. I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome.
