Food was pretty good. I went with both my daughters. It was our first time here, so not quite familiar with the menu, prices, and combos.

Ordered a mini plate with 2 scoops of rice, 1pc mandoo, and 3 golden crispy drumsticks for $12 something, added a fountain drink was $2; and then my other one wanted a sandwich for $8 something and then a fountain drink which was charged $2.89. Anyway we went to our table, was told our food would take 20-25mins.

Then my daughter wanted french fries so I went back to add french fries to the order. So cashier rang me up $7 something for it, all these prices before tax.

Sat down and after a while I just realized looking at the smaller text on the menu that for the sandwich I could’ve added only $3 more to make it a meal with drink and fries.

Disappointed that the cashier didn’t mention anything when I ordered sandwich + drink, and then added fries separately 🤷🏽‍♀️ we pretty much overpaid for the same sandwich meal with. Just wish we were informed there was a better deal, especially since I ordered sandwich with the drink first.

Oh well, for next time, and I thought I’d put a review here so others would be aware too.

I’ve come here 4 times and, unfortunately, each time has been progressively worse. I keep coming back because parking is more convenient than the Kaimuki Vons and I think it beats out Vons overall.

Their secret sauces chicken is my new go to. It’s always crispy and tastes like proper KFC should taste. I’d skip their chicken sandwich, though. That’s been their only miss so far. I tried the spicy and regular and the chicken wasn’t as good as their menu KFC. Reminded me of chicken tenders and the “spicy” version just has sauce on top, not coating the chicken.

However, the wait times are LONG. I placed an online order and had to wait 35 minutes longer than the quoted pickup time (I just browsed Foodland). They also didn’t read the order notes which resulted in a longer wait. Phone order was quoted at 20-25 minutes, was an additional 20 minutes before...

It was ok. I think I prefer KFC from other places on island, like from Itchy Butt or even Vons.

We got the golden fried, secret sauced, and honey garlic. Despite what another reviewer said, the golden fried has seasoning…yes it definitely has seasoning since we all thought it was a bit too salty. The honey garlic had a good flavor overall while still keeping the breading crispy. And the secret sauced was kind of disappointing, it was essentially sweet sour sauce but insanely sticky.

In terms of texture, the golden fried was a tad overcooked, such that the chicken became dry. The other two flavors didn’t suffer from this problem, but that might have been due to the sauce acting as a crutch.
