It was a terrible experience and waste of money. The stated start time for the dinner was 5:30pm. I showed up about 5:20 and got in the already forming line. The check-in staff were so much concerned about getting the VIP guests (i.e., guests who paid more and made up maybe a quarter of the audience) in than the 50+ "regular" guests already waiting in the sun for 45+ minutes for a $180 ticket. The first non-VIP people allowed in was about 6pm, so most people lost at least a third to a half of the time for dinner they were supposed to have. The check-in staff were ignoring and downplaying the multiple frustrated people who were asking about getting in after 30 minutes past the start time. These staff were part of the show, so I don't think they were new or had any excuse for treating the non-VIP guests the way they did or realizing things were going badly. One guest said his young daughter was getting dehydrated/overheated by the time they got in. There was a manager-type in black who was either oblivious or ignoring the trainwreck unfolding in front of her, all the angry guests, and any opportunity to improve the situation. Another or higher manager eventual come down (in response to a real-time Google review) and did to some actual management and offered 20% refund, but it in no way made up for the incompetence, internal sabotage, and/or unprofessional behavior but the staff. Other manager said this "never happened" but it doesn't seem there was anyone running the event who wasn't a regular to the show or why this wouldn't be the norm for this event.
The food was ok, but you are competing with the guests at the hotel for food at the hotel's restaurant. Some food ran out and the sushi station was not manned part of the time. There was a huge line for the desserts just before the show was starting, so it was not possible to get any dessert, especially since so many people had to rush dinner. The included package drink had the option of cocktail, but it was watered down.
The performance was good. More 50/60's feeling music than traditional music and dancing. But between the frustration and sunburn from waiting to get in and throwing elbows to get food, it was very difficult to enjoy the show.
I would never recommend this show. For the most expense event of my trip, it was an utter and complete...

Read moreWhat an incredible experience! First of all, the show is set on a third floor terrace overlooking Waikiki Beach at sunset, which is about the dreamiest concert venue you’ll ever see. The entertainers are all top-notch and the vibes are high from start to finish. The MCs, the band, and the dancers take you on a journey into Hawaiian culture with hula, storytelling, and music throughout the night. There are some historical tidbits, some myths and legends, some incredible costumes— and many, many great laughs. The passion of the dancers is contagious & the venue is intimate enough that you can get involved in the dancing, if you’d like. It’s also great for special occasions & they go out of their way to help you celebrate and laugh with your loved ones. Very funny and warm people. Don’t think about it; just book it. The best entertainment...
