I'll keep it short and simple. This isba review from a Black Man.
I walked in for coffee and realized last minute I had forgot my wallet. But the time prior to this I was waiting at the register and an employee (assuming shes the supervisor) was working on coffee behind the register. Meanwhile two of the employees noticed me but didn't (1) welcome me or (2) acknowledge my presence. A taller on with brown long hair looked me dead in the eye and continued walking to the back.
The white woman with blue eyes at the register greeted me after about 2 minutes of working in whatever she was preparing. After I moved to rhe side after acknowledging I forgot my wallet, she went back to working on coffee. Another customer approached the register and one employee immediately greeted her while the supervisor was in the same spot behind the register (she moved after the other employee took the customer).
My question is, why wasn't I greeted the same way the other customer was?
When I presented my complaint to the workers, the supervisor seemed preoccupied with making coffee and didn't take a minute to confirm my complaint and offer a resolution or even deliberate it. The employee that greeted the other customer seemed very compassionate about it and acknowledged my complaint, apologized, and offered free coffee. That was very professional of him. The white woman? She seemed more concerned about coffee than a potential customer and it speaks to her character and integrity. You need to do better because as a businessman obviously you do what's best for your business and thats ensuring each customer is left satisfied to the extent its reasonable even if they dont purchase anything.
She needs to be fired and he needs tk be promoted. I will be speaking to the owner of this shop as he's one...
Read moreI always have a difficulty to find a good cappuccino but in Honolulu my first choice was a winner! I chose Hai Coffee at Hyatt based more on my intuition and I was right. First of all they can make small cappuccino (8 ounces) but it is better to order in a cup not a paper cup because paper cups are bigger so you get more milk. Cappuccino is really tasty with good amount of coffee and foam milk as it should be. The service is good but you have to be very clear what you order. In this case I had to clearly say that I want small 8 ounces cappuccino. When my friend was ordering for me and he only said small I got the bigger cup that means more milk that means not good. When I went to say that I wanted small cappuccino the waiter got a little bit defensive and started arguing with me that my friend ordered medium. Well, I don't know at what point was a misunderstanding but it would be nicer that the waiter just re make the cappuccino. He obviously did but with kind of attitude and this time it was just like a coffee with milk with just a little bit od foam at the top. Nevertheless I was still going there for my cappuccino because it...
Read moreCoffee was average, no complaints there. But what was wrong is we went to get a cheap breakfast biscuit, a guy comes up to you in line and gets your food order to speed up your service, which is good. But the whole time we were looking for the price of the food, which we never found. I told the cashier I dont see a price for the food listed. He said "that's because they arent." ONE small egg cheese ham biscuit was $9.00, it was a frozen pre-made biscuit like you get at Starbucks or McDonalds. From my experience, it is never a good thing when prices are not listed. It usually means there are unfair practices at play. If you go I would suggest to stay away from the food. I checked other coffee shops and the same biscuits are half the price and the price is Actually listed at other locations. Again, I have traveled a lot and when prices are not listed, it means something Not Right...
