The Punchbowl Cemetary also known as the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, is steeped in History, as it is the resting place for hundreds of soldiers & war veterans who lived, fought & died fighting for the security of our Nation. This historic landmark is located inside the Crater of an extinct volcanoe on the island of Oahu, in the state of Hawaii. The lookout is located outside the gates of the main entrance to the cemetery. The views from this spot overlook the expanse of Downtown Honolulu & the surrounding urban neighborhoods. This area of Honolulu is also known as Punchbowl, which is also the name of the volcanoe, English language. Another more general name for this district is Makiki.
