6/11/2021 We wandered around Ohana Marketplace for awhile to look at the drink offerings and decided to order from Fancy Fresh Food. They also sell lots of different kinds of fresh fruits. My friend ordered mango iced black tea and I had ginger, lemon, & kumquat iced tea. The lady was so nice! She asked me if I wanted mine "honey sweet" and showed me how much honey she put in my cup. Since I like my drinks mostly "no sweet", I told her that's a good amount. Then she made my drink and gave both of us a sample to try to see if we liked it before she sealed the cup. It was delicious! She made my friend's mango iced tea and asked my friend if she wanted "honey sweet" or "mango sweet". My friend wanted mango sweet only, which is no additional sweetener. Then the lady showed her the fresh mango that she had pounded in a mortar. Wow! It's been my experience that tea places chop up fresh fruit and place it in the cup, rather than mashing it up for the most flavor. Again, she gave us both small portion cups so we could taste the drink first. That impressed me! We waited around 7 minutes for our drinks to be made which is no problem because it's obviously a labor-intensive process and they seem to take pride in their drink making. When we got our drinks the lady told us that since they're made with so much fresh fruit, when we finished our drinks, we could add water and let it sit a bit to make a whole new drink! Both teas were awesome! It's a good thing I don't live close by because if I did, I'd be coming here to try all the combinations of drinks. My friend and I were really impressed with the taste of the teas that we ordered, as well as with the preparation of the drinks, and the superior customer service. Keep up the wonderful drink making,...
Read moreI stumble upon this place walking to chick-fil-a when they just opened in late 2023. Lol I was curious and popped in, ordered a smoothie and left. Next time I visited, the nice aunties gave me a sample of another person's drink to try. It was nice. Months later, I come back a few times a week to drink my specialize smoothie and brought coworkers along to try as well. Too sum it up, they use fresh fruits in the drinks, its made to order. Everyone gets a sample to try of their drink or another person's drink so that you can try other ones. If you come back often, they come to know you and will remember your order. They also customize orders, if you want to bring in your own powders, they will incorporate them. You can also switch ingredients in the smoothie. My go-to is power green smoothie. It's usually spinach, mint, mango, kale, papaya, ginger and lemon. I switch mango and papaya for banana and guava, ask for strong ginger, and add my superfood powders. Its delicious and filling. If I get avocado mango, I swap mango for bananas. Lastly, the smoothie is very filling and cheap. If you buy from them a 32 oz mason jar with reusable cap and straw, it's about $14 ish. Next time, you bring back the mason jar and reusable cap, the drink is $7.00. It been almost 1 year and I've drank $7.00 smoothies for lunch and it's worth it! Also, they are one of the few Crack seed stores left. One of the few that has dried wampee and also sell fresh fruits. Even though their parking lot is tight and hard to navigate, I find metered street parking and walk it. This is one of my favorite places to go, and recommend...
Read moreA tight little shop, you could miss if you blinked too long, a local family is doing something quietly beautiful with fruit. Real fruit—piled high, bursting with color, scent, life. They blend it into juice and smoothies, any way you want it. No pretension, no rules—just pick your fruits, name your poison. Dragonfruit and mango here is something else entirely. Almost electric in taste. But the knockout punch? The green power blend. It’s a glass of health that doesn’t taste like penance. They throw in a mountain of ginger—because I like a kick in the face with my antioxidants. The price? Extremely affordable. They also do these dehydrated fruit mixes—bags of chewy, sweet, tangy stuff that hits like candy but came from real fruit. Fruit that grew not far from here, handled with care by people who give a damn. This family works their asses off. You can taste that in every sip. Every bite. This smoothie shop is a little shrine to fruit and sweat and love. Support them. You’ll walk away full—of juice, yeah—but...
