Aldine Branch Library — Attraction in Houston

This library is my favorite of all time! I found them years ago through a posting on nextdoor about an upcoming crafts event. I took my mom & kids to see what it was about. Everyone had a blast & this instantly became our new library! The staff truly loves what they do & it shows! They have so many interactive events to bring in people of all ages! It's always a friendly & welcoming environment there.

Even during the covid-19 pandemic they did their best to keep our kids entertained. Jacque (I believe that's the correct spelling) is the best! She's very passionate about what she does & it shines through in her book selection. I called in every couple of weeks & ask for a new selection of books for my teenage twins. She never disappointed. Even recently shared about a new Netflix series for some of the books my kids love. She's no longer at this branch, but still emails book lists to my kids! To me, that is going above & beyond the call of duty! ...

This is one, the only library in the area for miles. I gave it 4 stars cause, I come use their computers alot, and leave. They have updated their computers, to new ones. Looks like they also got new chairs. I guess a small layout change took place recently. I know people complain of lots of kids running around,and using all the computers for gaming. Yeah, that's very unorganized. Dedicate an area for that,and other area for adults who need to do more important stuff,aside from gaming. This has been an issue since day one. I will admit, lately is has been a little more quiet than normal. This library, is overlooked. Compared to other libraries I go to, it needs a complete remodel. Needs more books. More staff. Needs to be bigger in size, cause it does get packed on some days. Other than ,not enough computers, this library is ok. I know cause of the area,it's neglected. Which is sad. I love coming here. Wish I ran it, it would be Soo...

I really like this library. I went to this library to have my passport photo and passport completed for a international trip I will be taking this summer.

The staff at this library were very nice very informative.

Overall, they all had a great disposition and we're very pleasant to me. I got to speak with the librarian one on one and she gave me a lot of insight and information about the library.

We spoke about some things that will be going on during the summer there.

I really like how engaged and fun she made everything sound and she was really on top of her game as to the activities and things that she will be doing for the community this summer.

Her willingness to help and explain in great detail about the events and about her library was what did it for me. I wanna go back and visit
