I am not sure if the management has changed in the last few years or what the reason is that this location has changed for the better but I am so there for it! We had stopped going to this location entirely because of the lack of availability in employee’s to help and how awful the condition of the store itself was, but a few months back my husband went in to get something Walmart was out of and was really impressed with how different it seemed. So we gradually started coming back here and now I have to say it.. This Home Depot location is a great location! It’s one of the busiest locations in Houston and they now manage to have employees available when you need them, and the store is easy to get in, get what you need and get back to your projects without any frustration! We are so grateful to have this change came about, because it wasn’t long ago that this store inspired a very different kind of review from me. Thank you to all the employees and management at this location for your hard work! I know this is a heavy traffic location but you guys have the store looking great and everyone has been very friendly and willing to assist when needed without a struggle to locate. We really appreciate you all. Previous review: I cannot express the level of dissatisfaction with this location! It is close to my residence so I have used it occasionally, but nearly every time I need something and try this location, I get so frustrated with the condition of the hardware department, that I end up leaving and going somewhere else. Ironically the Home Depot a few miles out of my way is excellent, and always seems to have staff present to assist even though it is so well maintained I rarely actually require assistance? How the heck do you have the same regional management and two stores so completely opposite in maintenance of standards? This is a high traffic location, is it possible that to a degree explains some of the stores stock issues? I would argue no, that’s not a legitimate reason because a well managed location accounts for this type of traffic and keep plenty of employees on hand to assist customers, and properly trained staff to keep the inventory meeting demand. This location needs regional evaluation. Just pulling in high sales numbers shouldn’t allow for poor customer service. Today after hunting down an employee to get assistance in the loathed hardware department, they called over the intercom system and after waiting another ten minutes I have thrown in the towel and I will once again be traveling down the road to use...

I decided to go to a different home depot than my usual, so my review is not bias as soon as I pulled in to the parking lot I was by an orange apron running out of panda express picking up his lunch. As I pulled in to the first parking spot available I saw three other associates pushing one cart, one of them was inside the cart and the others were just having a nice little chat pushing the cart. As soon as I walked in the environment felt driftnet than the usual home depot’s I’ve been to I knew what I needed but I thought I might ask for a second opinion to see if there were any tips or tricks that I didn’t know about I walked for about twenty minutes and not a single person asked if I needed help. I know home depot prides themselves for having excellent customer service, but I wasn’t seeing that. I finally said screw it I’ll just ask the older gentleman I asked told me he did not work in that department and didn’t even try to help. So, I decided to try another person and see I got any help out of them, I went into the lumber department to ask him a simple question and his response was, “it’s right down here man” pointed down the aisle and proceeded to walk away. I walked down the aisle and check what was down there, needless to say he directed me to the wrong aisle all I found there was pickets and some other types of lumber. All I needed was plywood but that didn’t seem possible, I finally made my way to the plywood and there was another person down the aisle I was already annoyed with the place at the time so didn’t even bother asking for a second opinion. He walked up to me, he was very friendly and tried to help I explained what I was doing, he recommended the most expensive plywood there and I asked why that one and he couldn’t answer the question, I have no problem paying for it but just wanted to know why go with the most expensive one. So, I went ahead to ask if that one was pressure treated because it’s going outside. He responded with “what is that?” so at this point I was already frustrated with the experience so I thanked him for his help and walked away to pick up some other things I needed for the project. The whole experience was subpar to...

I have been using this store for over a year since I moved my shop last year closer to this one. Business is great and needed bigger location. I had an issue 3 weeks ago with a $2800 order I purchased online for pick up. Since then we get terrible service and treated extremely rude. I was sent an email asking how my online purchase went and I took the survey and I guess the manager got upset and they make us very uncomfortable. I needed 2x10x12’s last week and the only ones they had where up on shelf and needed forklift to bring them down. So the manager told us they didn’t have anyone that was qualified to drive forklift and me and my 2 employees had to wait 2 hours until they finally got them down. Also they don’t let any workers help us load after purchase. Twice in the last two weeks they will see us come in and just put the gates up in the isles so we can’t get plywood or lumber. Then today I had to exchange a drill that I JUST bought last week and the reverse doesn’t work. So brought it back and when the return person asked if we had a pro account I said “ yes. Gave them our pro account info” she said oh hell no. Went and got manager and manager said since it’s with our company we cant do anything. So. I’ve spent $200,000 already this year with Home Depot. So by the end of the year I will have spent half a million dollars at this location. I will not go to that store anymore. Will go to the one about 15 minutes further on 249 but I need someone to call me and let me know what we can do about the treatment we have received the last 3 weeks. Looking forward to hearing from you so we can continue to have a good relationship with Home...
