Sunday, February 5 That day would be engraved in my mind forever. As a young adult that was raise catholic I have always have conflicts about the institution the church represents, and today I got reminded why I have move away from it and try to push people away from institutions toxic as this one.
Let me be clear first that I do believe in God and this post it is not from a nonbeliever, but it’s from a person that does hates how people that represented God in this institution misused his name.
Today I went to mass (6pm) and it was a big slap in the face of why I don’t go anymore and why a lot of people have lots there faith. I don’t know the name of the priest that perform the mass today, but whoever you are please stop!
Going to mass it’s supposed to be the time to get the spirit of God in your heart and be a reminder of what Jesus and his followers had to live cuz there faith and for us to try to live those standards nowadays. Mass is not to spend 25min telling people they need “to donate $250” for the cause if not the church will be due with a higher institution that “obligates them to raise money for the better good”. I totally understand the need to raise money for a cause and that good intentions this days need to be founded with money to even happen, but you can’t ask your “Latino community” they NEED to “donated” $250 cuz “Latinos make a lot of money” and it’s “almost there obligation”. And am not saying this cuz I got “offended”, am saying it cuz people look up for the church as a high standard in life to follow.
So let me tell you priest that I don’t know your name and I hope you read this: first, feed people with the spirit of God and then asked for money.
If you want treat your church as a business ok do it but at least do it well. First sell the product and then bombard the customer with the price. Today you lost a newly member of your congregation, but am sure am not the only one. And that’s the reason why the church keep pushing people to loose...
Read moreThis Catholic church is so beautiful. The service was great, the parisianers and the preist were so kind. The architecture of this church is also very nice. I love how the 12 disciples of Christ are on the pillars and the colors. The stained glass is also very detailed and colorful. Also, the choir of the english masses and solemnity masses sound so beautiful. I totally recommend this church for divine...
