Canal Street Flats — Attraction in Houston

I have almost lived at Canal St., Flats almost 2 years now . IT was previously called Canal Street Place Apartments. I must say since hilltop management corporation has taking over this complex located at 2104 Canal St. in the heart of East downtown. This property has had a complete makeover with absolute success. The management is phenomenal no words cannot express Miss Winter Bates. Our property manager is by far professional and on top of things very kind understanding, and is so awesome Rogillio one of the office staff members is also very professional kind and they treat you with the upmost respect. Marjorie is a gem and a delight as well She’s part of the office staff. There just a great team of Wonderful people and Fransisco they Head Maintenance man Is definitely on top of his game.. I can actually say I’ve witnessed and seen security, patrolling the property in both parking garages level 1 and 2. Walking around checking things to make sure things are safe now as far as break ins with car’s ??? That was previous management when the property was previously owned by Canal place Apartments. Things have changed for the better since Hilltop corporation has taken over. When I first saw the property with my own eyes changing in the last year this new property management has done a Awesome job of keeping the property clean and maintained. But you do have Residents who live here that have littered and thrown trash, disrespected the grounds. Kids are sometimes not following the rules . But when management is trying to maintain a clean safe environment, it’s the residence Residents who sometimes make it difficult. . Overall, I must say I’m very very very impressed with Canal Street flats Mrs. winter is by far a woman of integrity, work ethics.and professionalism kindest Regards...

Since Canal St flats wanted to delete my review I will keep posting everytime it’s deleted to Let the public know about the plenty of health hazards and criminal activity here.

Canal Street Flats is an absolute disaster, a nightmare masquerading as a residential complex. The termite infestation is so severe that I'm shocked the building still stands. Cockroaches scurry across every surface, and the stench of decay is ever-present. The gate is perpetually broken, leaving residents vulnerable to theft and violence.

Cars are regularly broken into, wheels stolen, and property vandalized. The parking area is a war zone, and management couldn't care less. AS WELL AS THE GATES CONSTANTLY BREAKING AND NOT USEABLE!!!! IMAGINE BEING TRAPPED IN THE BUILDING BECAUSE THEIR CHEAP SYSTEM!!!! Elevators are constantly out of order, forcing residents to navigate urine-soaked stairwells that reek of neglect.

But the real icing on the cake is the management team themselves. They are dismissive, condescending, and downright rude. They seem to take pleasure in residents' suffering, as if our struggles are their entertainment.

And let's not forget the homeless individuals who have taken up residence in the stairwells. It's clear that management has given up on maintaining even a semblance of order.

My experience at Canal Street Flats was a never-ending battle against the forces of incompetence and neglect. I was treated like dirt, and my concerns were ignored or mocked. I'm amazed I made it out alive.

If you value your sanity and your safety, stay far, far away from Canal Street Flats. This place is a ticking time bomb, waiting to ruin lives. I'll never set foot in that dump again, and I'll make sure to warn everyone I know about the horrors that await...

it’s true what they say the “break-ins” are still happening as we speak , not long ago I was parked on the guest an my keyhole looked like it had been tampered with to the extent of me not being able to open my car door properly.I could see someone tried to force something into my key hole..I really believe it’s an inside job people keep blaming the theft on outsiders but what if it’s an insider that sponsors these criminals ??. I have yet to see Canal Flats do anything about the break -ins. I have never seen security floating around the times I’ve been there have been no security at all!.Who wants to live somewhere that doesn’t feel safe??..Not to mention maybe 6months ago I’m parked in visitors, not one but two cars raised in the air left on “bricks” come on no outsider has time to know specific times and schedules of employees to complete their crime ? The office isn’t concerned because their cars are not at risk being parked overnight in the criminal infested property, move here at your own risk but just know don’t be surprised if you come down to the parking garage looking for your car and it’s not there. Every since they committed this crime to my car, I have never been back since. Playing with someone’s car is playing with fire especially mine .Canal y’all gotta do better, this is really out of hand !!., based on the reviews I noticed Canal has deterred every security concern the residents has addressed to them in every way not taking responsibility or making a change.People should feel safe at their own home to say the least , get whoever involved as needed because this is dangerous fix! Oh and if it get deleted I will keep reposting check out the photos to...
