I’ve been here about three times. Twice for a pedicure (great, can’t complain) and once for a manicure on 1/12 around 4pm.

I wasn’t happy with my nail tech at all this most recent time. She wasn’t friendly or welcoming at all. Not only that, she was gossiping with the nail tech next to her for most of the time to the point where she would legitimately stop working on my nails several times just to talk. It was really unprofessional, and I really had to fight back speaking up. I just dealt with it because I didn’t want to cause a problem and have her do a crappy job on my nails. She ended up cutting my cuticles and I was bleeding on two fingers and the way that she shaped my nails was super uneven.

Even though I have had great pedicures here, this one experience really makes me not want to come back. Lastly, When I went to the front desk to pay, she was just standing right there behind the computer next to the receptionist just to see how much I would tip her. It was just awkward and made me uncomfortable.

Also, every single nail salon I have been to has used fresh sterilized tools that are in that blue pack. I noticed that my nail tech, and the one that was next to her both tried to use cuticle trimmers that were just laying around in their cart that they just used on someone else. I legitimately had to ask my nail tech to use a sterilized pack. I just find it absurd that this is not common protocol there with all the different bacteria that can transfer from client to client. Even though she did an OK job on my nails, the whole experience was awful. Also, I think that the Nailtech name was Vivian.

I wish I knew the name of the nail tech that was next to her. She was very rude to her client and I know she definitely cut her cuticles too with the drill because I heard her next to me say “ow that hurt”. Just absolutely ridiculous. I waited on making this review for a few days because I wanted to make sure that I still felt a strong aversion to this place as I did when I walked out of that establishment. Four days later, and I still do.

Edit:

They definitely overcharged me. I paid $87 for a regular dip manicure solid color. That’s outrageous. This is...

Had my gel-x nails removed here 2 weeks ago. Don’t usually go here, and just happened to be in the area. I asked for a removal and a regular manicure, no polish. I ended up having a student nail tech which I knew is VERY fresh bc the nail tech teaching her said so. She had an older nail tech teaching her how to do it. I decided to give her a shot apprehensively since it’s just a removal, and plus idk I assumed she would have more experience as she’s already doing nails of real customers…. Turns out she’s not only fresh but fresh-fresh as in should not be working on real nails at all…

Terrible. Was gonna give this a 2/3 star rating at first since I did just pay $10, but now that it’s been 2 weeks out, I’m giving it 1 star. My nails were filed down THIN. At one point I felt the heat, I did tell them and they left that nail alone. The nail plates were not even at all, had drag marks of the nail e-filer. During the entirety of the service, if my hands weren’t being filed they were soaking in the acetone, this was back and forth at least three times. At that point my fingers became really really dry. We had also been there for almost 45mins on JUST a removal. Towards the end after they felt they were “done” they gave me the ticket and felt rushed out. I didn’t even get the manicure I asked for (but at least they didn’t charge for it).

Within the past two weeks, I had to refile the edges of my nails and apply strengthening nail polish because it kept snagging and chipping. As my nails grow, you can see a demarcation line of where they filed my nails, even the edges aren’t even.

This was my personal experience. I’m sure each nail tech is different. The check out lady was a little dry and wasn’t pleasant. If you’ve been here before and had a better experience, I’m happy for you but it’s a “don’t recommend” for me...

I will never come back to this nail shop again. I’ve been coming here almost 3 years now, and I’ve never had a problem! Wendy, David, Helen, and Jenny are the absolute best! Usually I don’t go to the nail shop on Tuesday’s because Wendy is off and I prefer to get my nails and toes don’t at the same time. I came in today to get a pedicure, and my eyebrows done. When I went to the counter the receptionist was a young lady I’ve never seen. I asked her could I get the student 15% discount. She asked to see my school schedule, and I couldn’t pull it up because I didn’t have service. I asked her if I could go get my wallet so I could present the ID to her. She told me “You have to leave your phone.” I felt offended because when she asked for my phone number she can see the history of the relationship I have with NOA. I work at five below next door, and had my uniform on because I wanted to stop at NOA before going into work. I don’t have to run off on them. I was highly disgusted because that’s embarrassing. I have no problem at all with leaving my phone, but don’t tell me I have to leave my phone because I don’t have too. You can ask me to leave it, but don’t demand it. The young woman who works the front who just came back from having her daughter stated “we tell everyone to do that incase they try to leave without paying” that’s a LIE. I’ve seen Caucasian people, Hispanics and other people walk out of that nail shop needing to get something from their vehicle without being told to leave their personal belongings on the counter. I told her I’ve walked out before to get something out of my car, and that’s never happened. If that’s the impression they have on customers that are loyal they don’t deserve...

I wanted to bring to your attention that my Royal Manicure did not include the mineral mud mask, even though it was listed in the description and I paid for it. I tipped fairly and didn’t realize the missing service until I got to my car and reviewed the menu as I took photos. That’s not fair. Additionally, the overall atmosphere felt as though the staff was just going through the motions rather than creating a welcoming experience. I understand that everyone has long days, but a more positive approach would go a long way in making clients feel valued. Fellow clients, be careful, you may not get what you paid for. Read closely and sip your mimosa slowly…. Unfortunately, you have to constantly advocate for yourself here. I even asked for a menu twice, before finally being given one. To Management, See receipt: I noticed that my Royal Manicure was billed as a Lavender Treatment for $40, even though the menu lists the Lavender Treatment at $30. Regardless, I specifically purchased the Royal Manicure, which should have included a mineral mud mask. While I did receive the shoulder massage, hand massage, paraffin wax, and salt scrub, the mineral mud mask was missing. I look forward to your response and a resolution, such as a credit to make this right. Otherwise, I will have to adjust my review accordingly.

Things I loved: (1) the variety of colors. I usually know what colors I am going to get but the wide selection had me second guessing. (2) There are a lot of pedicure chairs so there was no wait on a Thursday afternoon. (3) My polish looks amazing. (4) My technician timed my 6 minute massage and let me know when the time started. (5) Loved how I could provide my tip at check out because a lot of mail shops don’t have that option. (6) The choice of a drink was a nice touch that made the experience enjoyable. (7) Loved the TVs around the space. Things I didn’t enjoy: (1) I felt rushed at the beginning of my service when I was picking out my color. They actually told me and my friend that we could pick when we got seated and gave us the color palettes to look at. (2) I absolutely hate when I ask specifically for only a pedicure and I am repeatedly asked, “You sure you don’t want a manicure too?” or “You sure you don’t want to get this kind of pedicure?” I am a woman that knows exactly what she wants and especially when it comes to my nails so I don’t need the questions about my decisions or choices. I know they are a business and they are trying to upsell but it was over kill. (3) It was really those 2 but it was enough to throw off the full experience. Will I go back? Maybe not highly doubt it.
