Nikko Cosmetic Dermatology Center — Attraction in Houston

I had a mentoplasty, submental liposuction, and rhinoplasty here. The team was incredibly thorough, friendly, responsive, and professional from the first consult, to the pre-op appointment, to the surgery itself, to each of my follow-up appointments. They were sensitive to my needs and didn't pressure me into any procedures I didn't already want. If anything, they talked me off of a couple ledges, and talked me into only getting what was best for me and my features.

All of my concerns and questions were addressed in a detailed and timely manner. I was able to contact a representative around-the-clock while I was recovering from my surgery, and my rep was incredibly patient, supportive, and helpful. I don't think I could have had a more positive experience on the customer service front. The results Dr. Nikko and his team were able to achieve with me were fantastic, and they took lots of care to ensure I made the right decisions for my features and my aesthetic goals. They also took every precaution to ensure I was well-informed of pre-op and post-op care and ensured that I was completely enthusiastic at every step. The price for the procedure was also very affordable compared to the same procedures offered at other facilities.

I recently returned for lip filler at this establishment. Once again, Dr. Nikko's team demonstrated exemplary customer service and medical expertise. The entire staff is incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. I was properly numbed and experienced minimal discomfort with gorgeous results. My injector, Crystal, was incredibly patient and helpful. She talked me through the entire procedure and regularly had me check her progress to ensure my personal aesthetic goals were achieved. She made sure to go slow and avoid overfilling to avoid any poor aesthetic results like a lip shelf or migration. Notably, I got a bit faint during the procedure and she immediately paused the procedure and got me some water, food, and cooling packs. The team really went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, enthusiastic, and well-informed about the procedure. Crystal even let me know about a few deals the clinic was running on their filler and botox. I couldn't have had a better experience and I'll be returning in a month for a follow-up appointment!

Also, this is worth mentioning because I've seen several reviews discussing it. Dr. Nikko is a certified dermatologist AND a certified cosmetic surgeon. Cosmetic surgeons are different from plastic surgeons, but that semantic difference doesn't make them any less qualified as surgeons. Do you actually think a dermatologist is just running around cutting people open with no qualifications or training? Please be for real. Google is free...

I came in on a Monday afternoon for an appointment to have the eczema and fungus on my left foot looked at. After being called back I spoke with the doctor’s assistant/nurse who is the only reason I’m giving 2 stars to this review. She seemed to care and was genuinely interested. In the middle of our preliminary discussion Dr. Nikko came in. He glanced at my foot and immediately declared it to be a fungal issue. He disregarded my previous diagnosis of Dishydrosis eczema and was in and out in under 100 seconds. It is very common to have eczema and a fungal issue simultaneously but Dr. Nikko didn’t even entertain the idea of it. He had this “too cool for school” mentally as he didn’t even try to further examine my foot for any signs of eczema. He prescribed me a topical ointment that would get delivered from a special pharmacy, that’s it. I wasn’t told where it would be delivered, when, how long it would take, or what the process would be like. On my way out I asked one of the front desk ladies where this delivery was taking place? My house? The Kroger pharmacy I regularly use? She didn’t seem confident in her answer but ultimately said I would get a call and it would be delivered to my Kroger pharmacy. I waited for this so called phone call from this “special pharmacy” for 4 days. It was now Friday and I reached out to Dr. Nikko’s office to get clarity and see when I would be receiving this call to schedule delivery. The front desk said they would reach out to the pharmacy and I should be expecting a call. Well, I never received that call. The weekend went by and the MLK holiday on Monday, still no call. At this point I’ve remedied the fungal issue with Zeasorb AF and am now seeing the clear small blisters which are a tell tale sign of dishydrosis eczema. I reached back out to Dr. Nikko’s office the the next day, Tuesday, and was told they would be calling the pharmacy and I should hear from them soon. A few hours later this “special pharmacy” called me and said they got my prescription in and could deliver it to my home either Wednesday or Thursday. It is now Thursday and I am finally scheduled to receive this ointment. It’s been 10 days since my appointment, my fungal issue has all but cleared up, my eczema is still an issue, and I have yet to receive any ointment. I don’t know if this ointment is even going to help my eczema because Dr. Nikko disregarded it and prescribed it for the fungal issue. It all seemed very lackadaisical and rushed, from my appointment to the process of getting my medication. Maybe Dr. Nikko provides more insight and concern with his cosmetic procedure patients. Dr. Nikko and his team were awesome from the moment I began planning for my procedure to this current date. They continue to be available for any questions/concerns 11 weeks post op. I had a tummy tuck and breast reduction/lift/implants, and I am so pleased with the results! Dr. Nikko guided me prior to making the decision in what I was looking for. Initially I was going to choose lipo instead of tummy tuck. Dr. Nikko was respectful and open to doing exactly what I wanted. He provided me with some insight introducing the tummy tuck, and was very respectful and considerate in the process. He informed me that this option had a higher probability of reaching the results I was looking for, while ensuring I was choosing what I wanted in the end without feeling pushed. I must say I am so happy he assisted me to make a well-informed decision, because I couldn’t be happier with the results. Candis, his nurse needs some recognition for all her hard work during and after hours. She spent so much time providing me with all the information I needed. She may as well been on my speed dial. Every time I called her her response “hey Crystal!” made it easier to reach out. Both her and Dr. Nikko were readily available to speak prior to, shortly post op, and answered every phone call whether it was the weekend or late at night. I never felt alone in this, because I knew I could rely on them to guide me to recovery. That’s a big deal for a patient who has a major surgery and is in pain. The experience was so reassuring even when it was the smallest thing that overwhelmed me, they were there to walk me through every step. The most important part that every patient stresses is the result itself including the wounds. My belly button scar is almost not even visible. This was my biggest stress because it take a great doctor to make the belly button look good and it does! My breasts hardly have any scarring, and my tummy tuck incision is nice and clean with very thin scarring. Satisfied patient right here!...
