Toilets were unisex. just a bunch of stalls in a row. I did see another toilet area roped off so maybe they'll split later. They let you in by groups to the first stop which is a place where they have a safety video. You know, basic stuff like don't eat the slime. Throughout the place they have slime stations like everywhere with different types of slime. So keep walking if it's packed up front. There are posters that tell you the attributes of each slime too. The first stop is a slime wall. It doesn't stick if you throw it. Next stop there's a Kenetic sand stop in a cave, with a huge wall video screen too that projects slime people that imitate your moves if you stand in front of the big screen. The next stop is a slingshot where you can shoot a wad of slime at your friends. They stand behind glass while you shoot them. spit wad. For the DIY station, I suggest picking one of the expert slimes. Why?They're colorless and odorless so you get 2 coins to select both the color you want and the odor you want from the vending machines on the wall (otherwise you may just get 1 coin for scent and they'll give you a pre-colored slime). Just put your slime in the cubby hole and then your coin in the slot above it, and turn the knob all the way to the right. Some water looking stuff drips out for the scent. And some powder drops out for the color. Then you can mix it at tables. You also get to pick 3 plastic toys to put into your slime. They have 120 choices to select from. Pretty cool. Next to the mixing tables They also have a slime waterfall where you can get slimed. just like Nickelodeon. A staffer said you can buy tickets at the waterfall station if you decide you want to give it a try. But It was free for us today. They put two ponchos and two shower caps on you to make sure you don't get wet. The slime pours on you 3 times. It felt like taking the water bucket challenge with a rain poncho on. My kid aged 9 loved it. There is a water fountain and towels to wipe off afterwards. Suggest wearing shorts or pants you can roll up if you want to try this. The half dozen or so slime stations after the waterfall have texture which was fool. And also there was ASMR playing there too. But it was hard to hear because of all the people there that day though. They have sensory stations after that where they give you blindfolds and you can guess what's in the cubby holes. Also there were a few viewing ports to the kitchen where slime is made. But it looked like just storage to me. At the end there is a slime wading pool and some pools filled with plushies. They also have some contraption kids and crawl under it they got a lot of energy to burn still. They ask you to wipe your feet with wet wipes before entering. Actually I notice they had wet wipe stations throughout the entire place. And they had asked us to wash before entering the establishment. That's good cuz I'm thinking all that gooey slime would probably pick up stuff like Covid easily. We spent about an hour total. At the end I asked my kid how many stars they would give it. My kid is picky. But she said definitely 5 stars. She even asked to come back again. I asked her if it was better than the color factory, which she also likes, and she said yes. For me, well I give it 5 stars too because she had a good time. And if she has a good time I have a good time. If I went myself, it'd be maybe 3 stars depending on the price. The gift store at the end has … more slime for sale. Didn’t see anything to eat anywhere. But there is a candy store and boa ba next door if you need a treat after. Kid got slime on their shirt all over from playing with it on the ride home. But amazingly it washed right out just using dishwasher soap scrubbing with the abrasive side of a...
Read moreMy boys really enjoyed themselves and it’s a neat experience overall. I had planned to take my sons here for over a week before finally making it to this side of town. I arrived for the last session of the day and forgot to buy tickets online. When I asked to pay at the counter, the staff member seemed like she didn’t want to ring me up and mentioned a walk-in fee, so I ended up purchasing online. There was an admin fee online so I’m assuming it would have been a similar fee? Also - the price increased by $5 per ticket within an hour, I asked for a coupon and they pointed at one on the register.
The overall experience was disappointing. The visit started well, with friendly staff, but their attitude changed toward the end—they seemed tired and unwelcoming. It felt like they wanted everyone to leave since it was the last experience of the day. It’s almost like they couldn’t say it but it was telling through the vibes. It did seem like things were a bit controlled and monitored. One staff member (the janitor with glasses and brown hair), was rude and unprofessional, wearing earphones and glaring at my older son for playing with glitter color at the color selection station. This is a KIDS place, they said we would get messy from the slime, etc so I don’t understand why she was so stern with him. He wasn’t making a mess. She later came to the restroom to clean and I said thank you to her, but she had her earphones in so she probably couldn’t hear me and didn’t say anything back.
The real issue came when my one-year-old had an accident in the corner of the slime pit. I immediately took him to the restroom to clean him up and informed a nearby mom on my way to the restroom since she mentioned it. Her kids had already pointed it out and I didn’t realize it was my son until I checked him. After I cleaned him and came back to retrieve our shoes, a male staff member confronted me for not telling him about it. I asked him if he had kids and he said no. I explained I prioritized cleaning my son and I didn’t want to create any more mess since I rushed him and my older son to the restroom… the other kids had already told their mom and I told her on the way out since she was telling me and the staff member mentioned that the kids told him so I thought that they were aware of the situation before I left. In addition, I didn’t know I needed to specifically speak with him seeing that there were other staff member standing around. A mom that I spoken with earlier came and checked on me in the restroom and asked me was I okay which was the only kind gesture I received all day.
The interaction felt judgmental and embarrassing. I left feeling like I was being gossiped about. The staff member that was at the desk was like “well you have a great night” in a very dry voice. While my kids enjoyed it, I can’t recommend this place due to poor staff attitudes, lack of empathy, and high prices for a short experience. What could’ve been a great visit turned into a...
Read moreWe attended their soft opening on Friday, December 8th and scored complimentary tickets! This place was actually better (and bigger) than I expected it to be. Also a fun surprise I actually used to work with Karen Robinovitz (one of the co-founders of SlooMoo) in NYC when I worked at Digital Brand Architects. She was there which was a fun surprise. When you enter you are ushered into a room to watch a short video on what to expect and I thought it was weird that one part of the video advised kids "to not eat the slime" (say what?) However once we entered the area of the slime I immediately understood why....the slime smelled SOOO GOOD! lol I know it's weird but the smell hit me right away. I thought it was pretty cool that each slime had its own unique texture AND smell! Some smelled like cherry, some smelled like cotton candy, some smelled like chocolate. It was just crazy but pretty cool. Also to note EVERYONE WHO WORKED THERE WAS SUPER NICE! And I do mean every single person we encountered was super friendly to my kids and I. The people who worked there were energetic and made the experience that much more fun for the kids. At the end you get to make your own slime. You can pick your own smell, color of slime. There's also a section where they blindfolded my kids and let them touch different things (they had to stick their hands in different holes) . They really enjoyed that part! My son is autistic so he highly enjoyed himself. He thought it was "awesome"! And it's hard to impress him. lol I knocked a star off because of the admission price. Personally I think $40 per person is quite high. If I would've paid for myself and my two kids that would've been about $120 (plus taxes and fees) and honestly it's not worth the price point. Also we went the day before the grand opening so there was literally no one there besides one other family. So I can't imagine on a weekend where it's crowded and a ton of kids all playing in the same slime. I don't know how often they change the slime (perhaps they do at the end of each day) Good news is they do make you wash your hands beforehand and there is another station to wash your hands at the end. I don't know but I am happy my kids got to experience the place all...
