The baked goods and drinks at your bakery are excellent, and I find them to be worth the price, especially the macarons. This is the only reason I keep returning. However, the cashier service is consistently rude and unacceptable. On four separate occasions, at different times in the morning, I've encountered different staff members, and the experience has been the same. Incidents include a cashier ignoring me and staring when I asked for help; a cashier rudely asking "oh that's it" for a small order; a cashier rushing me to order and check out, even after I asked for a minute, despite the store not being busy; and, most recently, a cashier rolling her eyes and giving me a flat-out incorrect excuse for why she couldn't fulfill an online order 10 minutes early. She claimed the system (Toast, which I use at my own job) wouldn't show the order until five minutes before the pickup time, which is false, and she was equally rude when I asked about picking up my order right after your private event ended. I work as a cashier, server, and cook, often for 14-hour shifts, and I understand the demands of the service industry. I always show up to work with a smile and treat customers respectfully. I find it inexcusable that I am treated with such consistent rudeness and attitude, especially so early in the morning. This repeated poor behavior from multiple staff members is the problem, not the food. I am asked to tip every time I visit, but this level of customer service does not deserve a tip or continued employment in the service industry. Although I love your products, I feel this experience is unacceptable, and I likely will not be returning unless there is a change in your front-of-house...
Read moreI love the coffee and I come to pick up espresso beans on a weekly basis. But the whole tipping guilt is out of control. No I should not be tipping you for picking up my own coffee beans from a drive thru. Pay your employees well and enough with the panhandling. Also the employee cannot hear me from the microphone. This thing does not work and so please let them Be more aware that I might come to the window and skip the intercom . They look all shocked and disturbed when I skip. It just feels like the human factor is gone . These employees are literally being robots and then ask you to tip them. It just doesn’t add up.
One more thing, please do not hand me an older coffee that was roasted a month ago or more when you have a freshly roasted bag in front of you. I get that you want to sell your coffee but this is disrespectful to the customer. Any coffee connoisseur knows that you want to grind your beans between 4 and 20 days after being roasted. Make a shot and compare for yourself how the extraction goes.
Anyways , bottom line: love common bond products. However, service is sub par, and feels like a big chain instead of a cute coffee shop where everyone is nice...
Read morethe place is super cute. good location too. plenty of parking.
the service.. short staffed and staffs need more training. the guy who was working when we went there seemed either he was under controlled substance or just got hired. the lady at the counter was having a difficult time understanding a simple menu order and we had to repeat it couple of times. there was a hiccup in one of our orders however they fixed it right away.
just a heads up, their macchiato isn't the starbucks type, it's the traditional shot type. the caramel latte i got was pretty good. for drink sizes there are small and large. large is like a grande ish.
we didn't order any pastries so i cant comment on that but overall it was ok. the team needs to get it together. the seating area was pretty spacious so good to catch up with friends or get...
