Big City Wings — Restaurant in Houston

I think this is the location I ate at. Not 100% positive. There are very few times I post that I will probably not be back to any of their restaurants. I have been craving hot wings for a while and just not been able to make it happen. So this beautiful Sunday afternoon I decided to try this place instead of the Wing restaurant I usually go to which is right in the same neighborhood. The service was ok I guess. My food arrived quickly. But…. The wings were plain with a little, and I mean a little, sauce squirted in a zig zagged pattern across them. I could see sauce pooling underneath them. But not actually ON them. I’ve never had to toss my order before in a restaurant, have you? And it’s particularly hard on a flat surface compared to a bowl. So my server brought me some extra sauce. He didn’t offer to take them and toss them. Hmmm. So I poured that sauce on and tossed them one by one as I ate. The sauce, I ordered the medium heat, was so runny it would hardly stay on the wing and was weak/slightly watered down tasting. The same was true for the blue cheese dressing. Wouldn’t stay ON the wing. That made everything a challenge and a lot messier. I wondered why they had two ketchups on the table. The front label of the ketchup closest to me was facing away and I picked it up without thinking and squirted some out for my fries. It was NOT ketchup. Well, it was, except it was some kind of HOT PEPPER ketchup. I drank all of my Pepsi and my waiter never noticed. I also wish this Wings restaurant and others realized, and came up with a better solution, to the serving vessels of dressings specifically for wings. That little plastic container that we get with the meal? NOT IDEAL for dunking wings in any fashion. I may end up needing to eat at one of these restaurants again in the future, so that’s why I said will most likely not be back. I’ve had way better wings AND atmosphere at many other Wing restaurants. My meal cost $24 and change. I left $30. The next time I spend $30 on myself for a meal, it certainly won’t be at this place. My first time there they have the WORST SERVICE EVER. MY FOOD WAS COLD I HAD TO WAIT 45 mins for someone to help me at my table. They weren’t busy in there their was 6 customers sitting down getting already. But they had servers cleaning off sections and not attending their tables. It was only two girls that were really working hard . Ayana was my server she took 45 minutes to get to me I had to wait another 45 minutes to get a drink then manager John brought out my food it was cold my server never came back to the table until I complain to John or whatever his name is They’re charging $15 for wings that are cold and cold steel fries my server waited until I complain to ask me is everything OK then she never refilled the drink she waited until I asked for my bill then she asked do you want me to refill your drinks the worst server the worst place I’ve ever been to in my life She even informed me that she’s new and she had six tables which was not visible with people in them she was walking around cleaning off tables she also informed me that they throw you on the floor your first day of being employed there do you need to thoroughly train your staff and I need the managers to know how to run a business because I shouldn’t have to pay for cold food and poor server service from a server she even informed me that she’s new and she had six tables which was not visible with people in them she was walking around cleaning off tables she also informed me that they throw you on the floor your first day of being employed there you need to thoroughly train your staff and I need the managers to know how to run a business because I shouldn’t have to pay for cold food and poor server service from a server this service I got tonight made me feel like I was at McDonald’s and even at McDonald’s they treat you good I need you all big city wings to learn how to run a fast food restaurant because you do a terrible job Nobody want cold food

Service was absolutely terrible!!! I went with a group of friends. We get there at 7:30 and didn’t end up leaving til 10pm, and not by choice! It took a whole hour for us to get our food while we sat and watched others indoors get seated and served fast (we were in the patio area). I don’t know if they were understaffed, but I still believe management should’ve been on top of it, especially in the patio area, as many of the customers sitting there, including us, were getting forgotten and overlooked. It took us much less time to consume our food than to get it to our table. Then once we were ready to pay, it took a whole nother hour to get our checks even after notifying one of the staff members twice that we would like our checks because we had to leave. There was a man with his son sitting right next to our table and I noticed they never got a server assigned to them. They’d been sitting there for so long and I could tell the father was very upset and at last he ended up complaining to management then storming off. On top of that my food was cold. I had a few bites and that’s it, took it to go because it was not good. One of the waitresses with tattoos was rude and gave us attitude just because we were asking for our check. She said that we shouldn’t complain but we had every right to. I came in a good mood and left incredibly irritated and disappointed!
