One of the worst experiences ever! It’s long but I promise you’ll enjoy it. Terrible experience that makes it funny (I guess 🤷🏻♂️). I was the only one in line to pay, the associate in register 3 -who already had a not so welcoming face- called the next customer (me) so my entire smiley being get to her and she stops me and directs me to go to register 5. I go to 5, but nobody is there. At this point only her and Register 3 is open so I’m thinking “ok, she’s coming over” oh I was wrong! She turned to her right and starts yelling at another associate who is doing something by the door “Lala! You have a customer!” This was yelling 3 times at her and whether Lala didn’t hear her or just ignored her it’s up in the air at this moment. Next, this same associate from register 3 decides to go to the door for the now infamous Lala girl and tells her LOUDLY that she has a customer in register 5 -this power trip unfolding when she could’ve just rang me in register 3 but anyway!- Lala finally decides to come and tells me “number 5” twice. The third time she says “number 5”I point my finger to the number on top of the register and I say “yes, 5” then she looks at me and says “to your left”. That was it. I just straight looked at her and laugh. At this point I really wanted to throw my stuff at their faces and tell them how unprofessional they were BUT when they go low one must go high… I just put the stuff on the counter and told the now infamous Lala that if that’s how they provide customer service I wasn’t going to honor them with my business and I left. Terrible experience. As a customer service professional myself all I can say is you don’t deserve anyone’s business. You’re truly terrible...
Read moreMy friend came shopping yesterday July 18 2025 . And had a deeply upsetting and discriminatory experience at this TJ Maxx location. A staff member made inappropriate and offensive comments about her ethnicity, mocked her accent, and treated her as if she didn't belong. She calmly explained the situation and tried to speak to management, but they dismissed her concerns completely. They did nothing to address the racist behavior . She left the store feeling humiliated, hurt, and extremely disappointed. No one should be treated this way — not as a customer, and certainly not as a human being. I’m sharing this because I want people to know what happened, and because I hope TJ Maxx takes steps to train their staff and treat all people with the respect and dignity they deserve. The old lady running the fitting rooms was so rude about the pants I wanted to try on because I found them without a hanger. Also after I tried them on she wouldn’t let me just leave to purchase them she needed me to put them on a clothes rack so she could see them first and then she let me take them to the front to purchase.
