I do my own drilling, and the men that work for me work for me. and they're men I know. I make it my business to be there and to see their work. I don't lose my tools in the hole and spend months fishing for them; I don't botch the cementing off and let water in the hole and ruin the whole lease.
I broke you and I beat you. It was Paul who told me about you. He's the prophet. He's the smart one. He knew what was there and he found me to take it out of the ground, and you know what the funny thing is? Listen... listen... listen... I paid him ten thousand dollars, cash in hand, just like that. He has his own company now. A prosperous little business. Three wells producing. Five thousand dollars a week.
Ladies and gentlemen... I've traveled over half our state to be here tonight. I couldn't get away sooner because my new well was coming in at Coyote Hills and I had to see about it. That well is now flowing at two thousand barrels and it's paying me an income of five thousand dollars a week. I have two others drilling and I have sixteen producing at Antelope; so, ladies and gentlemen, if I say I'm an oil man, you will agree. Now, you have a great chance here, but bear in mind, you can lose it all if you're not careful. Out of all men that beg for a chance to drill your lots, maybe one in twenty will be oilmen; the rest will be speculators - that's men trying to get between you and the oilmen - to get some of the money that ought by rights come to you. Even if you find one that has money and means to drill, he'll maybe know nothing about drilling and he'll have to hire the job out on contract, and then you're depending on a contractor who'll rush the job through so he can get another contract just as quick as he can. This is... the way that this works.

ย ย ย Read moreWe went to a showing of Spider-Man: No Way Home. AMC has destroyed what was once a great theater. They have cut their staff down to nothing. We had ordered tickets online, which is what saved us. Once inside, one single popcorn machine was in use for all of the movies. We ordered our snacks, which we donโt mind paying for, and went to the area to wait for our popcorn. There was one small cooler with water bottles, the rest were empty, and most of the candy displays were empty and dirty. It took a very long time for popcorn, with one machine being used by one person. The counters where we ordered were covered in food/crumbs. The drink and popcorn butter areas were horribly dirty. Again, I do not fault the staff, because they had maybe five people working the whole place. We got our popcorn and headed to our movie just in time, but the line behind us had over 50 people waiting for popcorn. Our theater had a nasty floor, debris everywhere. Our popcorn had zero taste, even though we added butter. They made it without any salt or anything. Iโve never had bad theater popcorn before. We watched the movie and left. I know the pandemic has been horrible, and theaters have lost a lot of money, but this was a horrible experience, considering what we pay for snacks and tickets. This theater used to be a Rave theater, and it was wonderful, clean, and staffed to handle customers. Then, it was bought by Carmike. Still a good experience, but a little rundown and understaffed at times. Now, AMC has gutted the lobby, let everything get nasty, and the marquees for each theater, showing movie name, time, and theater number, are not in use. The big marquees in the lobby are halfway ripped out, so there are huge empty plastic things and no movie information. Worst of all, worse than the drab look of the place, and not having food ready to sell, is the filth. I feel sorry for the kids working there. Iโm sure they get blamed for the sorry state of the place, but it is...
ย ย ย Read moreThose of you complaining about the trash everywhere saying they don't keep it clean they do it was clean 5 mins before that crowd came in at 10 am it's just when thousands of you come into the theater stand over where the lids and butter is and then drop everything in the floor and your kids throw thing all over the place and you continue to linger as more people come In. No one can come through you to clean or restock things. Things wouldn't get this bad if all of you would just learn basic cleaning skills and didn't throw things everywhere but because you don't do the job and don't have knowledge of the amount of work that goes into cleaning up after all of you while we have to be at the door checking tickets as a matter of fact as soon as i do clean the floor someone is right there with their uncoordinated child dropping popcorn on the floor or an icee on the rug which we cant step off to do because well...can't walk away from ripping your tickets because without us telling you where to go you look like lost puppies and have a temper tantrum over it.
We are not superman ok. We don't get to bend matter or phase through crowds of people, speed up time or keep the world revolving around yall. The job is very fast paced and hard to maneuver when so many people are in the theater.
Some of you need to learn basic cleaning skills and social skills and to teach your kids how to behave in public.
When I get treated like garbage I do not keep my mouth shut for long. But some of yall that come in here can gladly do the job if you think you can do it better because I guarantee you you would do worse.
Yall have no clue what it was like yesterday because all you did was walk in.
It's called perspective that line literally was like that for 10 hours it's not our fault yall decided all at once to come and...
