The reason for this poor review are several connected situations that show very poor customer service and a lack of support in general. (Sorry for the long review, conclusion at the end)
I was planning to buy a Lenovo laptop through this location for a Black Friday deal. After confirming in-person that it was the one I wanted, I saw that it was going for ~$400 less online. So 1) they didn’t price match. Probably because of the holiday, sure. But it showed the option to buy online and pick it up in-store. So not matching the price didn’t make any sense.
But 2) the process to pick up in-store was long and pointless. When ordering online it stated that same day pickup would be possible at this location because it was in stock. But after ~6hr of no new notifications, I called to see what’s up. After 12 more minutes on hold, I was told that the computer was held for me and I would only have to wait a little longer for an online notification.
This was false information as 2 hrs later I still hadn’t received any more information. So I visited the location again to try to resolve this lack of communication. 3) the staff was not prepared nor motivated in any sense to really help me.
I don’t want to sound more petty than this probably already does, but nobody there really gave any real help. They just stated the information that was already on the website available to me and made no attempt to find someone who possibly could help me with this issue. And after talking to a few representatives, I finally received a notification. Stating that my order could not be filled.
Ironic timing or lazy worker? I don’t really care. But many hours were wasted following and believing in this company’s claims and system. I ended up having to just ship it to my house which will take a week to get here. So more time.
IN CONCLUSION, the system that Best Buy uses is garbage. It doesn’t show true information for trusting customers. And the workers of this specific location did not care at all about helping a confused customer.
Don’t recommend shopping here if you value your time and customer care. But if you don’t value these things, then come here and be satisfied with some great options and sporadic deals! That’s the “silver...
Read moreProbably the worst major shopping experience I've had. I purchased an elliptical machine on Jan 3, 2022, along with the delivery and installation, and the 3 year service plan. My credit card was charged just under $2000. I scheduled the delivery for the next available date, 17 Jan between 7am and 1pm. That day and time came and went with no updates or calls, even though I called several times to confirm through Best Buy and was assured they were still coming that day even though the item hadn't even been picked up from the store. I was eventually given the number of the outside service they use to make these deliveries. No one ever answered the phone. The following day I went into the store (because they will not take calls at the local number; all calls are routed to the national number) and spoke with a lady who assured me she would get this resolved and confirmed that the item was there at the door waiting to be picked up. A day or two later I was notified that my item would be delivered on Feb 2. I questioned this because I had previously been told they only deliver on Mondays in this area but I was assured they would make this exception due to the circumstances. On Feb 1 I received a call stating they would not be delivering my item the next day because they only deliver in my area on Mondays. They needed to reschedule for Feb14, not the next Monday by the way which would have been Feb 7. After 3 attempts to reach the local store and being told there was nothing that could be done, the third person I spoke to was able to change my order from delivery to pick up. I now have this 200 pound box in the back of my truck and no idea how I'm going to get it in my house, up a flight of stairs, and put together. All while they have had my $2000 for a month! I ordered a computer, laptop bag, wireless mouse, and software from Best Buy on November 19, 2024 at 9:30 in the morning for pick-up that day in the store. Around 10:00 I received a suspicious email from inbox@verifications.bestbuy.com wanting me to call and provide my name and address, bank name, phone number, etc. and the email said that I reached the voicemail while calling to just leave a message with the required information. It reeked of a phishing email. I did some research and found some evidence it was a legit email so I called and verified the purchase. That was at noon. I never received an email that the order was processed and ready to go. So, I called the store at 5:30 and reached Best Buy customer service who told me if I wanted to talk to someone at the actual store that I could just go to the store. The rude lady could provide no other information on the status of the order beyond what I could see myself online. So, at 7:30 I took my receipt and drove 30 minutes to the store only to be told by the first employee that it was not ready (how hard is it to pull something off a shelf?) and by the second employee that my order was pending verification. I told her I was who I was, here is my receipt, give me my order. She said she could not until the verification was released. I told her to cancel the order and get me a manager. I then spoke to the manager with the professional looking hoop in his nose. He could have cared less. He offered to let me buy the items off the shelf, or course while my refund was pending.
