While unsuccessfully attempting to find parking for another beach today, backtracked here. Found parking by the Museum of Science and Industry, which was not easy spending nearly 20 minutes looking and waiting. $22 for 4 hours included $5 tax charge. A little high, but expected for the city. Walked under the road in a tunnel decorated with artwork. Beach was very clean with nice and clean washrooms. Life guards on duty, bar and food shack. Water was freezing but expected since it's Lake Michigan and always cold this time of year. 😆 I really loved that the water is very shallow long sandbars near the water entrance and you can sit half way out in the water comfortably and float.

Hoping I can give better...

If you go, be warned, the rocks on the north and south side of the beach has trash and debris (cans, broken glass) and climbing on the rocks can be hazardous. The lifeguards will also warn you away if you get too close. Other than that, it’s a nice place to cool off on a hot...
