Lots of great exhibits for all ages. I particularly liked the transportation exhibit with the model railroad and Boeing 727. My one complaint was the U-boat tour. We bought tickets for an 11:30 tour. We arrived at 11:20 and the man checking tickets said we are too early and asked us to wait. We stepped over to the side and waited next to the sub about 10ft from the guy checking tickets. He allowed several people to go in but never let us know when it was our turn. I walked back up at 11:31 and asked if we could go yet. He looked at our ticket again and said, “Sorry you just missed your time. We will put you on the next available tour.” What! I asked him why he didn’t say anything since we were waiting right there. He just said, “Sorry you missed the tour.” I was mad. He called a supervisor on the radio. When she came I explained what happened and instead of apologizing or we will get you in, she looked at her tablet and said, “The next available is at 12:30. You can either do that one or get your money back. My group was mad but we waited another hour to do that tour. My takeaway is if you schedule a tour be there 5 min early and don’t get out of the way until...
Read moreNot managed properly. They have museum within museum within museum. I mean to say you need to pay separate for different exhibition along with entry fees and entry fees is not cheap. Even you pay fees the management and maintenance is poor. Sometimes it gets very crowded and messy specially when it is free for locals. So it could be wise to reduce entry fees for non-locals when it is free day for locals or close it for others if you can not manage. Me and my family visited on Thursday from Minneapolis hoping that on weekdays it will be nice and less crowded but it was free day for locals and it was so messy and unmanaged. Probably I will not visit it again. There are fewer attractions...
Read moreMany displays are not in service. Probably pretty hard to keep everything working with the amount of people that come through. Fantastic museum for the family. You can spend all day (and should plan on spending all day) inside of this museum. We paid extra for the submarine tour. It was pretty neat to see inside but all the information told inside is already said or told outside in the interactive displays. You do not need to pay extra, all displays around the uboat are fantastically done and informative. Only pay if you want to see the inside, (or save some cash and just pay for dad to go through while the kids stay entertained outside in...
