This was my first time visiting this particular market location after 7 years of relocation. The goal was to introduce my senior dad to his local market. Ellis farm was hands down the best booth (all the other vendors were friendly as well). My dad enjoyed the farmer selling wheat grass and also the booth with fresh goat, lamb and beef. This is a very small market so the biggest con is there is little to no variety of vendors. Limited variety of vegetables. There are no more than 20 booths with the majority selling salad greens, garlic stems, garden plants, common herbs. The host/women in the red tent lack customer focus and communication skills. We were just standing there while they discussed the snack they were eating...Like Hello! Address the customers then get back to your personal conversation. Unable to answer basic questions for my dad or tried to be short/sarcastic with responses. Overall, my dad enjoyed his first visit but its worth the longer drive to buy from larger and...

I really cherish the 61st Street Farmer's Market. They were the first to double food stamps. They offer classes if you show up early and this week featured awesome live music of a classical guitarist. Meals these days are Pleasant House savory pies and Neopolitan pizza. Unfortunately if you arrive too late, Pleasant House is out of pies. Show up early and you will have the best offerings from farmers as well. There's always honey, tomato sauce, flowers, a selection of fine cheese, alaskan salmon, family farm raised meat, teas, and of course, lots of fruits, veggies, and...

The best market in the city! A hidden gem that goes year round. Extremely good community vibes, great vendors and the folks who put it together really put in a lot of effort and care. they do weekly food demos, yoga upstairs and have live music at reasonable volumes (sometimes kids perform, sometimes a local band, sometimes one of the girls who volunteers will just play violin on the corner!) one of my fav weekly rituals- and every single vendor accepts Link Card and the market will double your money...
