Algonquin Apartments — Attraction in Hyde Park Township

In response to comment your records are wrong i moved in 2023 and i still live here you to busy worried about the name then the issues at your property….. Run far away and fast, the amount you pay isn't no where near worth it! The day i moved in there was 3 roaches in the service elevator my movers didn't want to even put my furniture in there! Roaches are everywhere in the building elevator lobby laundry room hallway everywhere! U make a complaint about loud neighbors blasting music and kids running over your head all night and nothing is done, there are even kids playing basketball in the hallway u complain and they say we will talk to them and here it is a year later and the same issue with the same people! Packages are stolen the delivery man said years ago they have codes to access the buildings but they don't now and they will leave your package outside if they can't get in even when they bring them in someone will steal it and the management is no help! Put in work orders and they will get to it whenever they get to it emergency and all expect to wait over 24 hours for help. The parking lot is very loud from the parties car racing buses trains fights and everything else u can think of, between the noise outside and the neighbors loud music and stomping kids and basketballs being bounced in the hallways all times of the night good luck getting any sleep whole place smells like marijuana and garbage! Oh and the gym is a joke not only is it small and outdated u will be greeted by teenagers smoking marijuana in there in the dark and they don't move to allow you to access the machines Between the roaches everywhere not being able to sleep because of the noise outside and inside broken elevators stolen packages no amenities what are you really paying over 2k a month for? The area... i would hope not it's not like it used to be u will get robbed or worse check the citizens app this is nothing luxurious or safe about the area or the apartments! Beware move in at...

Be warned please don’t move in ! I currently leave here and I had signed a new lease then out of nowhere my lease was taken an away and then someone came to walk my apartment while I was freshly out the shower …. Scaring me half to death . The person said sorry they must’ve given them the wrong apartment number . Yeah they did! Leasing never reached out to apologize or provide clarity on the situation AT ALL. Then again on Friday when I was away out of town they had painters falsely enter my apartment and move my stuff around to start painting before realizing it was the wrong apartment… I have a camera and it was very alarming having maintenance come in when I didn’t request it and acting like someone doesn’t live there … on top of that they had stole some of my belongings and the leasing office never responded…. This place is over price to not have exhausted fans in the bathroom , peeling paint on walls , walking in your unit smells like cigarette smoke because of the connected vent from another unit , ROACHES IN THE HALLWAYS AND LAUNDRY ROOM . Oh also stolen packages is a daily thing and the leasing office doesn’t care not a one bit . Also they scam with hidden fees for an apartment that’s just a bit step up of section 8. I've been here for two years. I have a first floor apartment. I like to begin with the noise. There's an old lady who sings as loud as she can for hours in the middle of the night. You can hear her moaning and groaning and calling Her little grandson. You can also hear every conversation from the apartment above us. Just last night they were fighting upstairs and it sound horrific. There is always drunk activity in the summer and people arguing and fighting in the area during the middle of the night. The winters are extremely cold even with your heat on 90 your apartment is barely comfortable I had a baby in February and I had to buy heaters to ensure he wasn't cold. U can smell the odors of another apartment in your apartment. I saw a body bag leave out the back door and still haven't received notice if it was natural or murder. They sure can send you those late fee emails at any time. Some of the equipment in the work out room was out for some time but that's about the only consistent thing here. It's not a feeling of safe and secure here because people just walk in with each other. Some people are even in the wrong building. I'm just over it and I'm moving when this lease is up. I expected more because hell we pay more. It's just not...
