Original shawarma review

I ordered ahead to pick up before Iftar and I’m glad I did. They were slammed with orders but luckily I was able to get mine home in time for Iftar. Cannot order online as of now. Call ahead.

Their menu online and in person menu didn’t seem to be the same. Could be mobile view?

I ordered Chicken shawarma wrap ⁠chicken shawarma bowl ⁠lamb shawarma wrap ⁠veggie platter ⁠jalapeño poppers

The chicken shawarma was well flavored thinly sliced. Just a bit slightly dry but nothing too crazy. Big portions. Almost like two people can enjoy 1 wrap.

You can get the shawarma in a wrap or a bowl. The wrap bread is possibly Durum bread? It’s a large pieces that wrapped twice. It had mayo pickles and other toppings.

The wraps comes with three cups of tahini, pickles, and mayo.

The bowl is the wrap but deconstructed with a layer of yellow rice on the bottom topped with mayo.

The lamb shawarma wrap was flavored well. This felt very dense in a good way.

The fries was crisp and decent portion were given. The jalapeño poppers were great!!

The veggie platter consisted of falafels, grape leaves, tabbouleh salad and hummus. The hummus needed to be puréed more. It was missing the pita bread as advertised on the menu.

I'm giving my rating based on the food alone because this is a new business and they deserve time to sort out their process.

The shawarma, very good. I got one lamb and one chicken shawarma. Finally a legit authentic shawarma place in the area. The most important thing, you're doing well.

But I have to tell you that the time it takes for you to complete an order is ridiculous. You guys gotta have more people working behind the counter and you need more equipment. Because right now you're only able to assemble one order at a time.

Yesterday I went for the first time. I arrived 1 whole hour before Iftar to beat the rush. There were maybe 7 people in there waiting on their orders as well plus people arriving to pick up phone orders. By time my order was called I had already eaten a date and waited another 10 mins! 70 mins to fill an order for 2 shawarma sandwiches??????????

Today I went back, because the shawarma was good! I arrived way after sundown hoping it would be quick. I ordered at 10:50pm. The order wasn't called until 11:20!! 30 mins?!?! Guys come on please fix this. Shawarma literally cooks itself. It's just assembly. Please, I want to see...

Im not one to leave negative reviews unless something really bothers me and I feel like it should be corrected today stopped by and one of the workers there that was working the register had her phone out and her headphones in. At first I thought maybe she will put it away but she proceeded to looked bothered that I was even ordering I ordered a sandwich but she never asked me if I wanted the pita or the wrap however she just assumed that I wanted a wrap because “ most people order the wrap” which I can understand but the fact that you can’t take your headphones out or even put the phone down really doesn’t make sense I understand that things happen but it was very unprofessional when we told the cook that our order was wrong he took it and remade it however when the cook told the worker about what happened they started laughing and the lady came and apologized which was nice but I will not be there again for a while until their professionalism and they learn that being on ur phone and with ur headphones in and still looking bothered is not ok I understand we all have off days but she could’ve at least took her headphones out and got...
