I had a very bad experience today 3/17/23 I went to buy a cake for my twin girls. I walked to the bakery area of the store but there was nobody there to help so I asked the first employee I saw walking by if there was someone who could help me because I wanted to buy a cake. She was very rude and said " esa no es mi area yo nose nada de ahi " (that's not my area and I don't know anything about that) I got a little upset but keep looking for help I saw another young lady with a different shirt I assumed she was part of their management team so I asked her for help as well. She told me "preguntele a la señora de aya ella le ayuda" (go asked that lady she can help you) and she pointed to another lady so I went to her and ask her for help and she said. "Estoy ocupada ese no es mi departamento" (I'm busy and that's not my department) I went back to the young lady with the different shirt (management) and told her about the incident. "Coul you please help me I'm just trying to buy a cake" I said and this time even she told me "that is not my department" at this point the situation became ridiculous, 3 different people acting like kindergarten kids. I told her ok then who can help me because none of you 3 seem to want to help me, and she said "ya le dije que la señora de aya" ( I already told you go ask that lady over there ) . I did asked her but she said the same thing as you so can I speak with your manager and she said (the manager is not available, I'm the supervisor) "el manejador no esta disponible soy el supervisor" I said then could you please personally tell the lady to help me because she already told me NO. And finally she went with the lady and ask her to help me. 3 different employees with very poor customer service and bad attitudes. Usually this place is very welcoming but they seemed to need more staff and better training. Products are great, store is super clean and organized but their customer service...

I can’t say enough good things about Cardenas Markets in Indigo Palm Springs—this place is an absolute gem and a must-visit if you're in the area. The first thing that blew me away was the tortilla factory—you can actually watch the tortillas being made fresh right in front of you. The smell alone is enough to make you hungry, and once you try one, you’ll understand why people rave about it. Soft, warm, perfectly made… honestly unreal.

Then there’s the horchata and other aguas frescas—wow. I tried the horchata, tamarindo, and jamaica, and each one was refreshing, full of flavor, and tasted authentically homemade. They’ve absolutely nailed the balance of sweetness and spice in each drink. It’s rare to find aguas frescas that taste this good outside of Mexico.

Once again Cardenas at Indio never disappoints. My mother and I went to the store today for groceries shopping for the week Cardenas let me just say that JOSE from carnicería need a raise, praise, or an acknowledgment from Headquarters this man has one of the best customer service I had ever experienced very knowledgeable of the product he is selling making the customer experience truly amazing he provided my mother and I with the best product that the store had going above and beyond so my mother could have the best fresh shrimp in the store. Never once saw this man with an upset face on the contrary he greeted us with a smile from being to end this man really is a a great asset to the Cardenas store at Indio. I hope this man truly gets and acknowledge from the managers for the good work he is doing. This has been the first time ever at any Cardenas store where my mother and I have been treated with such respect, patience and kindness when serving us, this man had a smile on his face always made eye contact with us and all he did was just give us the best product that this market has to offer.
