We lived here for almost a year, and would not recommend this place to anyone to move in. The staff there does not seem to care about the residents:
No assigned parking, and we could never find parking spot. Because of this, we sold one of our cars. If you like to have your own parking spot, it will cost you $100 for reserving a parking spot. (We searched for several apartments, it usually comes with a parking space close to the residence.) This is the only place that does not come with a parking spot. We ever saw one car with no wheels, because the tires were all stolen. Wow!
Fire alarm constantly went off, and it is very annoying to all the residents. The only explanation was the alarm system malfunctioned in some ways, but still the fire alarm kept going off for months. It even happened during mid night around 2-3 am, and lasted for about 30 min or longer. The staff just said that some residents smoked inside of their place, which caused the fire alarm to go off. So nothing much they can do to fix this issue. Does that mean we are paying the rent for some people to cause the fire alarm to go off to ruin our sleep? If you have a baby, this is a big no no.
We requested for window screen installation several times and it took about 4 months to get it done. I am pretty sure that the apartment has a lot of requests for window installation. In addition to that, the service staff entered our apartment without having us on site. What if something valuable is missing, who will be responsible for it?
Trash room is always a mess, and you can never open the door for dumping. Also, every other day, the trash truck made so much noise (back up sound), and it gets annoying during the day.
There’s always people talking loudly after mid night, we can barely sleep with such high noises. Even we have security on site, no use at all.
We tried to get these issues resolved, however the staff made us feel like it was our own problem. Just because we already signed the leasing contract, there’s nothing they can do. We just want them to fix the problem, but the problems are always there. I know every apartment has its problems, but they always try to fix it. Apparently not this apartment.
If you wish find a pleasant home, please make sure that your rent is worth the buck. This place is highly not recommended, or you will regret for life. (This apartment is a mess, don’t get carried away with the nice amenities - nice rooftop, gym - machines always broken, coffee machine- 90% of time not working). Be wise on your choice since there’s a lot of options out there. I hope this review helps anyone who is looking for an apartment, unlike us stuck with it for...
Read moreAvoid this Irvine apartment complex at all cost! I'm a current resident, have been for 15 months, will not be renewing again. We have experienced the following since we have moved in:
exploding appliances lightbulbs falling from the ceiling drawers and cabinets falling overflowing trash facilities and disgusting odors in the hallways upper floors are more humid than a Florida swamp during summer months staff using public drinking fountains to fill buckets used to clean toilets (first floor bathroom by the pool) Hallway entrances smelling of animal urine and feces Disrespectful residents that party loudly and make noise all night. fire alarms consistently going off, which has caused multiple residents with noise sensitivity issues a great deal of harm, including people in our family. packages stolen A LOT
from other reviews here on Google:
Car break ins Weak security Surprise charges Intimidating to live here with aggressive residents Intentional manipulation of residents by management
As far as management goes, they go out of their way to distance themselves from the problems their community faces. I have spoken with several residences that are fed up with the quality of maintenance and management, which has gotten much worse since COVID, but they can't afford the lease break penalty.
Some of the issues are:
disregarded work orders and maintenance requests selective enforcement of policies (i.e. special treatment being given to certain residences who have romantic relationships with people in management)
See pictures attached for an example of what a normal day looks like in the hallways of the Residences on Jamboree.
For what you are paying to live here, do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. You will NOT be happy with your decision to move in here. You will not see the problems until you have already moved in. I've lived in multiple apartments in my life and this has been the worst experience by far.
Working right now to get out...
Read moreDear all residents and leasing officers, Despite all the messy things happened while we still in the apartment, we have had an extremely terrible experience for the move out process. We requested first with an inspection and they said everything is clean and we should not get any big extra charges. However we both get surprised when we received the final statement, and it went much higher than most of our friends received who moved out at pretty similar time range. So we try to ask more details regard each charge items and all they can tell us all the time was waiting forever. Until several piece of papers sent over to my new address by accidents and I found they charged us the full amount that they should charge equally for all residents lived in the apartment for 3 years. So as a result we paid 3x than what should actually pay for! We have tried actively contacting leasing officer, UDR billing officer and even the CEO of UDR. No response at all………is this the way that you treat your residents? We don’t try to be an insane customers, all we need is an detailed information. We have peacefully waiting for response until today we received this final notice saying they are going to send us to a their party collection company, which will put a life-long collection history on our credit. I have to say this is insane and we have no choice but pay the 3x final statement. So really in a nutshell, for all current resident, please pay 120% attention to your move out process and for all potential resident, PLEASE DO NOT LIVE...
