I come here often and let me give you the breakdown… Pros: 1) staff is friendly and understanding 2) there is a large verity in what they have and u will most likely find what u need 3) there r mirrors around the store so u can see how something looks on u 4) if u donate then u get a card with a bunch of discounts that work immediately- I saved almost 10 dollars from it 5) it is very organized 6) they have the best selection of items I. The area Cons: 1) there r a lot of stained clothing items that are marked for a high price - but was looking at a pair of branded jeans that had a period stain on them for 23.99 which is a good price for a branded item but u usually wouldn’t wash jeans because of shape and sizing 2) there r no dressing rooms and there is a strict policy on not using the bathrooms to change- however if u can slip the clothing piece on quickly then u will be able to check itself in the mirrors Overall it’s a pretty average thrift store… Edit: I went back for some more thrifting and upped my review by one star because the staff was so kind about finding every possible way to get a charger for my android because it ran out of charge. The staff was also super nice, and you can find some steals there that were amazing! There are also 30% off on Tuesday for seniors which came in really handy when shopping with my mom who qualified as a senior.

I’m incredibly disappointed with my recent experience at the Issaquah Value Village. I came across a very used KitchenAid mixer priced at an outrageous $200. Given the condition of the item, I politely asked if the price could be lowered, only to be told, ā€œNo, because it works.ā€ This response was frustrating, to say the least. Value Village is supposed to be a thrift store, not a high-end reseller. Pricing like this completely misses the mark for a secondhand store that relies on donations. For $200, I could buy a brand-new mixer during a sale, instead of taking a gamble on one that’s clearly seen better days. This kind of pricing feels out of touch with the purpose of a thrift store—providing affordable options for the community. I expected better from a place like Value Village and left feeling disappointed and discouraged. I hope management takes a serious look at their pricing policies.

I came here the for the first time in probably 5 years yesterday. Having previously shopped here I thought I knew what to expect, higher prices but slightly better quality items than most other consignment stores around but still cheaper than buying brand new. I always have low expectations when it comes to customer service these days so wasn’t expecting much in that area. Man oh man were my expectations WAY too high! Their prices are outlandish, like some things more than double if you buy it brand new. They had these plastic Halloween kid cups that were from the target dollar section priced at $5.99!!! I don’t know if I was more shocked at their pricing or their brazenness but they couldn’t be bothered to take the original price tags off of these items! They are blatantly showing you they are ripping you off! They had Starbucks reusable plastic cups for $10.99 mind you they are old styles and scratched up without straws (not that you should want the straws anyway) but you can get these same cups brand new at Starbucks close out for .50 cents less! Skimming through they clothes went about the same $5 target shirts priced at $11-$25 out of style store brand jeans for $30-$40 name brand (Levi’s and such) for $27.99-$59.99 It was insane! I was there about 30 minutes and saw a dozen or so people come in look around make comments about the prices and leave. Needless to say that although I stayed longer than most I too left empty handed and went to Fred Meyer for the kitchen item I was after and saved myself around 10 bucks. Now I can’t speak on their employees because the entire half hour I was there I didn’t spot one, so I guess the upside to that is I wasn’t followed around the store as other reviewers have claimed to have been, I also didn’t have any questions that needed answering, luckily. Their self checkout seems to be the only point of sale, but again I don’t buy anything but don’t recall seeing a normal cashier/cash register. To sum up, I wasted half hour so you don’t have to. Go to target or Fred Meyer or even the mall and save...

Unfortunately, I was racially profiled here 2 days ago. So this is my call for them to do better.

I arrived shortly before opening along with a few other cars, looking for some lightly used office furniture. They had a black filing cabinet and coffee table for a great price, outside the front if the store with the other major furniture.

There was a rep helping someone else, with sold stickers so I politely asked to be serviced as well.

She was initially kind and and I proactively picked out my two peices.

I decided to quickly browse the houseware section at the FRONT,Left of the store for any additional knickknacks or statement peices. I was inside the store for a total of 3 minutes.

After not seeing anything, I locate the rep and paid for my items and leave.

Looking for assistance to bring the furniture to the curb.

As I’m waiting with my car, and chatting with one of the male workers. The lady comes running out ā€œlet me see that purse, you got that purse from this storeā€

Excuse me ?!?!? this bright tan, $450 Coach Pillow tabby, that was on my arms and full of my items. My car doors wide open you can see its empty in here?

The same store where I didn’t even glance, nor walk towards any clothing? Or accessories? I didn’t even go to that side of the store. You watched pay for my things and take the card out of my bag at the counter.

My only thought was a coworker had to put her up to this, but I was livid and embarrassed.

The guy who was helping load the furniture, was so apologetic as I started to tear up.

I know your town probably doesn’t get many black faces, but do better.

And to the rep who questioned me, even though she helped me the entire time and knew my demeanor, shame on you.

So whatever, two stars because I found the furniture I needed at a great price and for that gentleman who was kind and had a soul.

Stop being disgusting...

Wasn't going to leave a review until I read some of the others. This is strictly about the donation drop off. Received at a minimum angry and moreso aggressive treatment today. Pulled up with a trailer in line and jumped out and ran over to make sure they were cool with me bringing a big trailer through that had a couch on it. Acknowledged it had no rips tears or stains, and they curtly responded, yeah we'll take a look at it and see, without looking at me. I got back in my car and went through line, already wondering if I should check with a manager on what the heck was going on here. Figured everybody has a bad day, so I pulled up and checked my attitude and just worked with them to unload the couch and things were going pretty good. I noted I also had a folding bed frame and they said they don't take bed frames, which is fine. I've heard that on the old school crappy ones. But I had a new portable folding set in the back and I just asked them to take a look, and I got the most unbelievable angry response. I jumped back in my car and started to pull out but pulled up to the guys who had snapped at me, and noted that they've been coming on a little strong and had I done something wrong... And yeah I was clearly not happy with them. But I didn't yell or anything. The guy without looking at me tells me he's worked there 10 years and they don't take bed frames and keeps grumbling on under his breath and his body language told me I'd better just move along... Seriously, it was a little tense. This is a donation center. Holy hell. Y'all need to clean house over there. Two stars because the other folks seemed nice and I had a good experience in the past....
