This is another update for the Disc Traders in Jackson. Every time I go in to buy films, the employees are always kind. Yesterday there was a young man, I believe he is new, and he was so friendly and kind. I tend to talk to much being 70 years old, even though I try not to do that. But this young man listened to me ramble on and he would respond and overlapped to ring up the films. He was knowledgable and you could tell he loved movies and working at Disc Traders. Today, I returned to pick up some more films and the young lady was the same. She was kind, caring and friendly and you could tell she loved working there too. The store manager was there and he always says hello and asks me how I'm doing. He is always so friendly and kind too. He does a great job of hiring as everyone there is amazing. The store manager loves films too and he suggests films he has watched. He is doing an amazing job as the store looks great and everyone is cheerful and kind. The manager and the employees at this location are the reason I keep coming back buying films and other products.
This is an update to the previous review below. As usual, the employees were all extremely kind and knowledgeable. I was looking at some Bluetooth speakers and the young man that helped me was great. He showed me some of what they had in the cabinet and he was very knowledgable and kind. The manager was there as well and he is always kind and friendly. The owner of the store has done an excellent job of hiring staff for this store. I'm always impressed with the professionalism and kindness of the employees. I was in today and Lily was great. You cannot beat their sales and Lily was polite and kind. I shop there a lot and everyone is great at this store. The manager is always nice when I come as well....

Movies are not organized by genre. They are organized by alphabetical order. Stacked on top of one another. It was a hot mess.
The movies in the window had sun damage. Bad for collectors.
Walked by the counter, saw a few guys standing around talking amongst themselves. They still didn't acknowledge me.. what would have been a paying customer. I thought it was super rude and inconsiderate. Usually if I see a customer I greet them with a "hello, is there anything I can help you find?".. didn't get a single word.
My husband picked out some blu-rays that he thought were buy x amount get 1 free or something along those lines (he's the movie buff, not me)... Come to find out the deal is only on DVDs. (Well, if someone greeted us, they could have specified that in a sales pitch or something of the sort) .. he still made a sale with the company and gave them our money.. much nicer than I would have been lol.
Store needs a better set up for sure. You should be able to see who comes in and out of the store from the counter. Movies need better organization. Guys need to stop playing around behind the counter and satisfy customers in more ways that just posting things in social media. What's advertisment without the personality to make the sale? Just saying. .

Read moreThis store constantly has the best prices overall, give you the most for your items, and has plenty of knowledgeable staff. Anyone that complains about prices is probably the same person who complains about their fries not being salty enough or their coffee being too hot. They aren't going to except your buy if it's literally covered in horse feces, is full of your nasty bed bugs, or is broken beyond fixing. The store's layout is set fairly well but needs more room for the $4.99 and up section. There is always going to be a game or two that is priced different than some other place. They constantly update their prices everyday. As far as returns go, it says right on the receipt they do defective returns and for store credit. They even say what warranty you have. If you have an issue, since people make mistakes, talk to one of the manages in a respectable way. I'm sure they would get you taken care of. This store has an excellent selection of constantly rare titles spanning from SNES and PS2, to even gaining Turbografx and other righteous things you don't see everyday. I've read people complain about the wait. Please realise that they have to test your items, entirely. No matter how "mint" you say it is. On top of that, if someone comes in while they are testing your treasures, they will assist them. It just makes sense. The store is constantly trying to better themselves for you. Stop complaining...
