Square-dclothing — Attraction in Jackson

On July 15, 2025, around 1:20–1:30 PM, my friend and I (both Black) entered your store. We stayed for about 10 minutes, browsing, but were never greeted or acknowledged. The older woman working there remained on her phone the entire time and made no effort to engage with us or ask if we needed any assistance (knowing we were there).

As we were leaving, two white women entered and were immediately greeted. This contrast in treatment made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. While we don’t want to jump to conclusions or assume intent, the difference in how we were treated compared to others left us feeling dismissed and disrespected.

I will never shop in the store ever again. Their return policy is unacceptable. My husband bought something for me for Christmas. It didn’t fit. I went by on New Year’s Day during normal Business hours. and they were closed. I live out of town so the next time I was able to get back was today and I was informed that I could not return $300 worth of merchandise nor can I exchange it due to their managers policy. This is unacceptable for a business to operate this way. I do not recommend shopping here...

I brought my daughter in last weekend to shop for her first homecoming dress. They have a beautiful selection of various styles and colors to choose from. Chesley helped us choose a dress and went above and beyond to help us. She never rushed us or acted like we were bothering her. She took her time with us and also gave us several recommendations on shoe color, jewelry, hairstyle. She made our visit to the store very pleasant and she was just a joy...
