On 6/10/18, at approximately 7:00pm. I stopped in this establishment in hopes of finding a few good deals. It was yellow tag sale (50% off). I searched and found several item's to purchase. I also found a blanket and matching pillow cases marked at $12.51 tagged yellow. There were a few blankets setsctagged yellow. What a deal!!! Well!!! the elderly Caucasian female employee working the register & floor decided on her own that the blanket was mis-tagged. How she came to that conclusion I will never know!! Needless to say she refused to sell it to me for the yellow tagged price. So I refused to purchase any the items I chose.
I went back on 6/11/18 out of curiosity and the color tag was changed to green with the same price. However, it still had the yellow tag on it too. Oops, on their behalf. Evidently, she forgot to remove its yellow color tag. I spoke with another employee who stated she would fix it. She returned saying her boss said I had to pay full price. And removed the yellow tag. (Absolutely NOT!) Although for 2 days in a row it had a yellow tag. I couldn't believe it!! Now grant it's not a lot of money, but it's the principal!! The elderly female employee was very rude, unfriendly, and treated me as if I was trying to sabotage her 'employee authority' over $12. I was going to spend my hard earned money in there and I was completely disrespected by this female employee. I left without purchasing any of the items I chose. Approximately $60 worth! She does not belong in customer service. Sadly this is not the 1st time she has displayed such rude and unprofessional behavior. Or is it the 1st time a complaint was made over her. I witnessed her talk down to other customers! AND she treated a 73 year young woman terribly. Displaying her bad attitude and eye rolling, because the woman wasn't fast enough gathering her money from her coin wallet/ purse. I spoke up on that day. I calmly advised this rude female that her rude attitude toward paying customers was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. She ignored me rolling her eyes. I do not understand why the manager there is keeping her as an employee. That 73yy woman, myself and others have complained about her terrible attitude, eye rolling, deep sighs, & indirect accusations against customers. I will never return to this particular store (Good Will! IRONIC, huh! ) in Jacksonville. And I will assure my friends and family are made aware of how customers are treated by this elderly female employee that I witnessed and experienced. It was such a sad and a horrible shopping experience.
I truly hope the management removes her as an...
Read moreGreat prices, just as I expected, and the staff was very friendly. However, I arrived at the Jacksonville, Arkansas location at 6 pm based on the information I found on the web (via Google of course) that stated the store would be open until 8 pm on Saturdays. I finished my shopping more quickly than I'd anticipated and went to the front to check out around 6:55. It was a good thing I'd finished my shopping early (an extremely rare event, I assure you) because the employee at the register told me I only had 5 minutes left to shop! (I double-checked Goodwill's website as well, just to be thorough, and their own website gives the same incorrect information for the Jacksonville location.) I've submitted a request that Google's information be updated to reflect the correct store hours, so hopefully this particular situation won't inconvenience anyone else in the future. My only other complaint is that they didn't have a very large selection of men's jeans, and the ones they DID have seemed to all be in approximately the same size. I was only able to find one pair that would fit my husband. Even worse, practically no shoes for men whatsoever. I think I counted maybe 3 pairs of sneakers in men's sizes, and there couldn't have been more than 20 pairs of shoes altogether in the men's section. If they has a wider selection of items and sizes in men's apparel and shoes I would probably shop there on a semi-regular basis. Since they don't, I'll probably spend my time...
Read moreI stopped at the Jacksonville Ar location looking for bargains .Although I am aware Goodwill has increased the prices, sometimes there is a good deal to be found.Imagine my shock when I came across these Saki sauce bowls for $12.99!! not together, EACH!!. I turned them upside down to see marking. Vague marking, but definitely not China. They are the quality of items from Temu or a 5&10 Store.I asked an employee who happened to be a supervisor and how they determined their pricing. She sd the go on eBay and deducted a couple of dollars, and that's the price .These bowls were probably $16.99 each on Ebay. I told her these were not of good quality. They weren't even marked as a designer or collector item . I pulled similar on Ebay, and even good quality were NOT that high each new. Maybe we need to shop for Ebay.At least those people have an eye for quality.Where good will employees who work the back are doing the pricing without any experience in pricing.Very...
