Octopus sushi and hibachi — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I have tried several of their items and they have been wonderful. The 3d Tatar was probably one of the best bowls of anything I have had in some time. The fish was plentiful, fresh and prepared very well. I skip the siracha and get the spicy mayo on the side. Onion soup was great and spicy tuna roll tasty. California Roll was excellent. Haven't tried the hibachi menu yet but will soon. Friendly knowledgeable staff. So glad they opened here. It will be nice when you can dine in Add: I've probably eaten here 25 in the last few months. I door dashed some sushi just now (July 22, 2023). I had a real strong craving for sushi. I looked up the “best one” in range for door dash to deliver.

$60 later and this is easily the WORST most DISGUSTING sushi I’ve ever had. Kroger is better. Save your money, don’t waste it here.

The onion soup taste like something they serve in a nursing home. The salad is the only thing they almost got right - but you can’t really mess a salad up.

The sushi - salmon is rubbery, Shrimp is stale and not fried properly, and they use SO MUCH CREAM CHEESE and sauce to try and cover up the low quality ingredients they are using. I doubt any of the fish is really even sushi grade.. The seaweed they wrap the sushi in is low quality, tough and gummy.

This is your warning - save the $ and go somewhere else if you want...

The food was not good, and I will not be back or recommend. It had good reviews and many to go orders while we were there. We were the only dining in customers. The salad was iceberg lettuce with dressing, a few shredded carrots and 2 slices of cucumber would’ve elevated it. Onion soup was good, but nothing special. My sushi was not good. The spicy tuna roll had a horrible spicy tuna sauce and I’ve never had cucumbers in it but that was in the roll. The steak hibachi wasn’t good either. Steak was over cooked, fried rice was bland and the vegetables were still raw. We didn’t finish our plates and the only real good thing was the water. Service...
